It has rained all day, steady and sometimes hard, which in turn has dropped the temperature 15 to 20 degrees from yesterday’s highs to the low 70s…sitting on the glider, drinking “Brecher Bier” a Helles from Magnanimous Brewing, Tampa FL:



A tasty beer, light clean and poundable. From a mix 4/pk I got at the brewery a couple of weeks ago…I think it smart that the brewery packages mix 4/packs of lagers…gives one the chance to try 4 different beers before committing to buying one or more favorites. Cheers y’all from South Charleston WV!

 

Drinking a Wild Sinister Kid: Double Sour Cherry & Malbec grapes now with some cheesecake. Tastes like a tart cherry pie with a graham cracker spiced crust, perfect pairing with the cheesecake which is hard to pass up. Cheers everyone!

 

Best West Coast style IPA I've had in Denver so far.

I like the mixed pack too. I also like 16 oz cans, which I know many don't.

 

This should be the start of a 4 day weekend but we have volunteers to work OT all 4 days, so we'll be there.....3 Daughters....

 

This is news to me. Pints cans are great… if you like that beer. I have spoken

A good clean saison could be good depending on what you're having. Otherwise maybe a wild/sour ale that is similar to a white wine in flavor, or a basic lager like a Helles or Pilsner. An IPA could even work if there is some seasonings or spices. Maybe even a dark beer with shellfish, all depends. Cheers!

At one of the local brewpubs, and one of the places that started me on the better beer path, Sweetwater Tavern (Merrifield).

Having a High Desert Imperial Stout for dessert:


Little bit of the 10% shining through the chocolaty smooth roasted malt flavors. Gave this a straight 4 back when you could do such on this site. Might be time for an updated rating/review.

Ran out of my Pliny stash from my last CA trip, but I found this 6/4 Lunch today, and it's pretty, pretty, pretty good.
