    Price

I have cut way back the last month or so. I have had less than 5 beers a week, if that. If I can keep this up price might not be such an issue anymore. Fresh beer would then be my issue along with finding non hazy lactose fruity IPA as the dominant products available. This keeps pushing me to High Life and Hamms more and more.

    Enjoy

    1000% this.
If it's hazy because of the process, like Heady Topper (originally, I understand, he was embarrassed that it was hazy, but couldn't get what he wanted without the haze, so he put on the can to drink directly.) that's one thing.
I find the ones that are "artificially" or excessively hazed to have that burn at the back of the throat that I don't care for.

Breweries charging 22.00 to 28.00 dollars for a 4 pack of beer it's ridiculous. And I find myself buying more Genesee light and cream ale or Hamm's for $15.00 a 30 pack..cheers!!

I find out the other day my Father has been buying my older brother and his wife 12 packs of Coors Light every weekend when he drops them off firewood.
I confronted him and asked "How come you don't buy me beer"? :worried:
He said "Your beer is too expensive and your always drinking something different every time"

The only problem that I can think of is being in a restaurant and the beer list has three beers that I'd love to drink but I can only have one of them because I'm driving. And the server is hovering over you for a decision.

Agreed! When are they going to start shipping? Their Beantown competitors (Trilium) are shipping to my state (PA) albeit at an exorbitant shipping cost!

I grab at least one 12 pack of Genny Spring Bock every year. Sometimes I can find it for $0.50 a can or so. On a metric of price to enjoyment, quite possibly one of the best beers out there.

Simply finding the time to try new beers and rediscover old classics. We all have jobs or responsibilities that keep us from imbibing; after all, we can't stay in a fog of alcohol.
Others have commented that once we find a beer we have been seeking, it is well past its prime.

    As a Beer buyer, distributors.

Nothing like getting a new beer in to find it's three weeks away from date, or worse already out of date. Or to have a distributor who makes returning anything out of date the worst experience in the world.

Then you folk wonder why there's out of date beer everywhere, even with someone knowledgeable at the helm of a relatively small store it's an absolute nightmare.

I wholeheartedly agree, with one caveat: there are also far too many barrel-aged sludge buckets on the shelves. Either good beers are being destroyed, or bad beers are being laundered in oak. Whatever the case, the beers are a fad that needs to fade. Brewers should put the effort and creative energy into the English, Belgian, and German specialties. I have recently tasted Minnesota Maibock and Tripel offerings, and they were fantastic. They are also relatively uncommon finds.

Maybe it depends on the styles you favor. I tend to gravitate to IPA and am never disappointed at the range of hop combinations available, all with their own related flavors, plus hazy vs. not and the mouthfeel can vary a lot. I buy mostly singles to try so I get exposed to lots of different IPA and it never gets old to me.

Im your huckleberry....if only not so far away. Im actually in similar boat with beer buddies cutting back or not drinking beer at all.

To the OP. I am tired of so many hops and every beer is an IPA-esque. I was all in on NEIPA s for a bit and just dont have any interest anymore.
Went to grocery store to get beer for a pool party. Was looking for a helles or pilsner from a local, ended up with Oberon as there was nothing but IPAs from the local guys.

My biggest problem, as it pertains to me, is finding any sort of decent selection of beers other than IPAs anywhere near me. I have to make a minimum round trip drive of an hour and a half to find anything besides IPAs. I'd dearly love to have a wider selection of styles to choose from within a reasonable distance from me.

It is so difficult to find lagers and when I do, they are typically low alcohol, high hops variations on Pils whereas what I like is a rich, malty, low hops European style lager.
