Tangerine Wheat brewed by Lost Coast. Another refreshing beer.

I need to get my sorry butt to Veil and buy some of their recently released IPAs/DIPAs. The only thing close I have at the moment are a few pale ales and session IPAs, neither brewed by Veil.

 

#2, I like spicy stouts, and this is one of the better ones I’ve had. Very well done by a brewery that I’ve really come to appreciate.

Having a leftover 4th of July beer/after dinner refreshment, a local Night Shift Lime Lite. Pretty refreshing and crushable. Cheers all!

Beef taco with a Heady Topper. After doing all the honey do's I got to thinking what beers do I have in the chiller from my May NH/VT/MA trip. Turns out it's 5 Heady's and 1 Second Fiddle. If the power goes out tonight I'll be chug-a-luging them all night.

The US is completely out of Bagram base, Afghanistan, amazing, there were up to 100,000 troops there during it's 20 years of operation.

 

Tonight's Blind Battle Beer Tasting Lineup: (All 3 out of 3 pairs correctly matched blind)

1) Tiger Lager (5.0%): An European pale lager from Singapore that has smooth flavors of pale bread malts and yeast.
versus
2) Stella Artois Lager (5.0%): A European pale lager that has flavors of light bread malts, yeast, with some hints of smooth lemonflower.

3) Josephsbrau Pilsner (5.4%): A Czech-style Pilsner from Trader Joe’s with smooth flavors of bread, yeast, and some Bread spice.
versus
4) Pilsner Urquell (4.4%): The true Czech Pils that has buttery and salty flavors of diacetyl atop the bread malt.

5) Sierra Nevada Pale Ale (5.6%): The original west-coast pale ale that has flavors of orange, resin, and pine soap. Some spice too. Subtle and complex.
versus
6) Bent Paddle Lollygagger Pale Ale (5.2%): A pale ale from Minnesota that has smooth west-coast flavors of orange, tangerine, dank and resinous tropical fruit. Caramel malt sweet finish. Sort of reminiescent of Two-Hearted to Centennial IPA.

Winners:

2) Stella Artois: This one has nice and light lemonflower flavors. Tiger was better than I remember and smooth too.

4) Pilsner Urquell: The one beer where diacetyl works well. Buttery flavors, but a light body makes it finish drinkable.

5) Sierra Nevada Pale Ale: Not the most flavorful pale ale out there in 2021 by any standard, but the the flavor it does have is subtle, complex, and quintessential. Delicious. Lollygagger drank pretty nicely too.

Tonight is experimental scratch pizza night. Another deep dish type experiment using a fast rise dough. Hopefully this does not create the down comforter height I got on my last two attempts

 

Damn, I think I have had all but one of the brews. I agree with your conclusions but probably would put SNPA at the top.
