Got to wake up early before I head to work and get this beef going in the slow cooker for some shredded beef tacos tomorrow night. Sitting out my prep, because I am not a morning person…

Went ahead and made the salsa verde tonight.

I decided to send the wife to bed and watch the Sox vs Angels. Game isn’t going great but still fun to watch. Excellent NEDIPA here.

 

Nothing too special! Just gonna season and braise the shit out some chuck roast. Salsa verde and pickled red onions are ready to go.

Next time I make it I’m going to a carnicería and find some beef cheeks to use instead.

Like I said before...since I’m not working tomorrow. I forgot @oach shared a Black Tuesday with me back in 2016. A full bottle for myself tonight made it taste even better. Following up one of my top 2 percent highest rated beers with another top 2 percenter. Easily my favorite from one of the best Chicago breweries for the last few years.

My second bottle of the night. I like it, have had it in the past. Tonight it seems smoother and mellower.
