Pretty sure it has been draft only thus far but some bars did get kegs in the past

Man I had no idea. I never had even heard of it up until I saw these labels.

I'm pretty sure it's only been released on draft. I had it at the last UPtoberfest.

I live in Kalamazoo and it's usually a Bells Cafe exclusive but I know at least 2 bars that got kegs. Looks like my first check in was 2013, I wasn't a fan but maybe I'll try it again

If your going from Fennville toKzoo you may want to check out Waypost. It’s close to Fennville just of 196. If you like cider try some stuff from Cranes.

I’ve only seen their stuff in bottles. Most everything I’ve had from them was pretty good.

For farmhouse style check out Jolly Pumpkin as well.

Yeah they’re name has come highly regarded by a few in this thread and elsewhere. I checked to see what beers I’ve had of theirs and the one I can recall in the Calabaza Blanca which was a decent offering and is labeled a farmhouse ale some places online (wheat beer) here on BA. However, I can remember having it and finding it much to sour for my taste, at least for what I was expecting. I think I’m looking for more “Biere De Garde” styles, as I’ve done research into the styles more and found what characterizes the beer I’ve seemed to like. I’m looking for more mild flavors. Malt, grain, some funk is okay and appreciated, honey, spices, etc. I do enjoy some sours sparingly but not in this particular style.

If you have not tried the Bam Biere, you may want to consider it. It’s a little funky and earthy but is mostly balanced with malt and spice. It’s also readily available.

In a few months I recommend trying Noel de Calablaza. It’s listed here as a wild ale, which it is I suppose, but also many characteristics of a Belgian Dark Ale.

We started the day grabbing a bunch of stuff at Horrock's in BC. Good thing we did since Territorial ended up being closed due to faulty A/C. We spent a couple of hours on their disc course, which was a lot of fun. Went to Bell's and Hopcat, which were both great. I really liked the One Well beers I tried but we couldn't get there because no Uber OR Lyft cars were available. The same thing happened at the Growlers game and we had to walk the 1.7 miles back to our hotel.

On the way in, we spent much longer at Greenbush than we'd planned. On the way out, we spent much longer at Virtue than we planned. We could have squeezed in a couple of places but between Hopcat and the cans/bottles we picked up, I was happy to just chill on the patio at our hotel instead of rushing around. Plus, the ballgame was really fun.

I thought Uberon was fantastic, especially since the time I had it I hadn’t really been exposed to beers like that.

I hope they put some out there for us to try. I would definitely be in to it. I wish BOD would release a stat monthly on how many of the beers actually came out but I guess that statistic wouldn’t be good as I’m sure some come out the following month or months later. Here’s our July labels:https://www.betterondraft.com/blogs...m_campaign=new-michigan-beer-labels-july-2021 as you can tell, a lot of them are fall beers which likely won’t be out until august-September if they come out at all. I’m definitely excited for a couple on this list though as well. Looking at these labels has almost become a tease.

There are some interesting beers in that group of labels. It's particularly interesting that Short's, under the Arcadia name, is releasing Lagerhosen, a dry-hopped Bavarian-style lager, which is something that the former Arcadia never brewed. So Short's has expanded their use of that name into a different direction.

I'm becoming more and more intrigued by Barrel + Beam. I'll look for those beers and start drinking more of their beers that I see in stores. What I've already had had been very good.

Tom, I’m becoming more and more interested in them everyday! I was looking back through the forum earlier and noticed you had mentioned them earlier in the thread when someone had inquired about Marquette breweries. Have you been there in past years? Their offerings are really interesting me and I will be sure not to hesitate if I see any in distro.

I have not been there, but they're at the top of my list whenever I can get back up to Marquette. In the meantime, I'll be buying their stuff in the store, but first I have to make room in the fridge and drink some beer.

It was too late last night to make my pickup for this week at my regular spot but I’m working in Shelby today and wanted to stop somewhere after work and grab a few things. Where does everyone get their beer in the Shelby Twp., Utica areas? If anyone has any recommendations I would be grateful. Cheers!

Making a trip to Petoskey in a couple weeks for a night or two and gonna hit a few breweries in and around the area. Beards and Petoskey Brewing are the big names obviously and I’ve looked into the places feature on BA and have a nice shortlist going. I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for nearby breweries that are maybe not right in Petoskey that I wouldn’t see under “places” or any info/favorites for breweries in the area. Cheers.
