I have FINALLY hit beer #6000. My roommates and I started a spreadsheet back in college in 2008 and when we left we were at roughly 300. I was around 650 when I started running a bottle shop in 2011. It's been a wild ride.

Greetings all, currently drinking “La Blonde” from the Brasserie du Mont Blanc which is the highest mountain in Western Europe and located in the French alps.

In the meantime I am also watching the Tour and the stage today where they have to climb the Mont Ventoux, in Provence twice. Big one.

    Cheers all.

I've already had black coffee and home-baked cherry pie for breakfast...I'm now ready to step up with more coffee and pastry elements while watching Stage 11 of the Tour de France...

Heavy, dark body with a thin yet lasting light khaki head. Huge, beautiful aroma; light coffee, toasted almonds; cocoa; roasted grains. Outstanding flavors; milk chocolate, light coffee, vanilla, charred grains, coconut, nuts; dense sweetness with a slight undertone of bitterness. Heavy, oily body; rich and chewy; dense residual sugars coat the palate; dull yet prominently sweet mouthfeel.

This is an amazingly deep and complex milk stout. All the ingredients listed on the can are readily identifiable. A classic and thoroughly enjoyable big stout.

Poured at 60° F; bottom of can dating info: CANNED ON 04/14/21

Lunch time! Hitting Cherry Street Brewpub in Alpharetta. Just my luck lately, asked for the Czech Pilsner and they were out. Barkeep talked me into this Summer Fling Blonde Ale 4.8% with watermelon. No bad! Light and refreshing. Good summer beer. Difficult to pair with food though.

Damn good, but it was a gusher when I opened the crawler.

I'll start off by saying that this beer was a gusher. As I opened the crawler, the beer exploded out of it, As I struggled to save as much as I could I noticed the head was tan. The head did dissipate rapidly. The beer, once that excitement ended is a nice dark brown color.
The nose is a malty biscuit aroma combined with a creamy, and sweet milk aroma.
The taste - Up front the malt kicks in, along with some chocolate. On the backside I get a sweet cream flavor, from the lactose.
    Decent, creamy body.
Except for the beer exploding from the can, this is a solid, and delicious beer.

Still going great refrigerated since purchase this Winter. Really love the rye and barrel on this one.

Keeping the good tunes from 1989 rolling, SRV's hit got more playtime but both are solid releases from the South.
