    Good day BAs! Off to a dismal start to the morning after moderate thunderstorms yesterday evening and night. Yesterday was fairly productive - went to range with my son and one of his friends, got the guns used clean, deprimed the brass, picked up apples, and was weeding in the garden when the storm broke. Today is laundry day. New Breakfast Beer:

    Mediocre RIS - weak flavor and aroma, thin mouthfeel, visually OK, decent price point - Rating 3.52, rDev -11.6%.

    Ive noticed that you're last 2 breakfast beers were both from North Country. I haven't had any good experiences with them. Have you had anything from them that you would recommend?

    Pretty decent British beer. Thanks for starting the thread @Shanex . On another note, since you asked, Samuel Smith's Organic Chocolate Stout, a bit so-so in my book. Rather sweet & thin.

    Soft, translucent, banana yellow body; one-finger thick head, dense, creamy, lasting; minor lacing and sheeting action. Nice smell combination of citrus and yellow pit fruit; tropical; sweet. Moderate citrus-like taste; grapefruit and lemon; papaya; moderate hop bitterness that builds with some intensity towards the finish. Medium to heavy body; bold tartness overall; acidic; dry mouthfeel.

    This is a decent New England styled double IPA.

    Poured at 59° F; no canning data available.

    ...we've been up since 4 AM...a huge black bear raided the south neighbor's trash can again (second time in four days)...he carried his "lunch bag" to our front yard, but I shooed him away to our northern neighbor's front yard where he ate away...I cleaned up the northern neighbor's mess (they cleaned up the July 4th trash) while Mrs. BeerGoot, pissed at being woken - again - by a bear raid wrote a nasty gram for the southern neighbor that we placed on her windshield...

    ...but, we do look for to Rocket the Wonder Dog's 13th birthday today...I'll be fixing a smoked beer butt chicken for tonight (using mesquite)...

    What can I say? This is my Holy Graal every year when I’m vacationing here in northern France, Saison Dupont. I could drink it all day long, plus I bought it for 4,50€ which is a price you can’t beat for such a big, 750ml bottle.
