As of today, I am officially a Poo-Bah myself! What an awesome journey it has been over the past 12 years. Thank God for such a delicious beverage and the seemingly endless style/flavor possibilities!

This site has definitely been instrumental as I've grown in my craft hobby, and with that being said, I want to give a huge shout out to all of my fellow BAs for the knowledge and camaraderie you guys bring! I'm also extremely appreciative of my lovely wife and the patience she's had with me over the years while enduring countless brewery/beer store trips, beer reviews, pictures, etc.

Cheers to the next leg of this glorious trip called beer!

1st of congrats @jjamadorphd but imo way to much hype on worded reviews of beer as the sole thing that increases someones beer karma. i said this before i dont give two shits about what anyone thinks about a beer or how they describe it in a boring 12 paragraph review, that does not change my opinion of what i think is a good beer or what beer im thinking about buying ill buy shitty reviewed beers just like beer that gets great rewiews, hardly ever do i even read them. just keep drinking and trying different beers and everything will be ok regardless of your beer karma title.

 

In my opinion it's just 'hype' like many beers. Hell, I never got my fez, learned the secret handshake or received any residuals for my effort. In the end it's just beer meets social media wackiness. Drink up and have fun!

 

Not to nitpick (ok, definitely to nitpick) but he’s at poo bah status with many less posts, beer reviews and place reviews than I have. It seems as if beer karma relies overly heavily on likes, which is the only category he beats me in.

 

It seems to matter a lot to you, judging by your angry tone. One can't help but wonder why? Is there some damage or down side to providing consumer buying information on a site that is based upon providing consumer buying information?
