Interesting. It reminds me of when I've had DDH versions of IPAs (most notably Trillium) and thought the extra dry hopping only provided a muddier hop profile where the normal version had more clarity in the hop character... at least to my senses.

I don't recall noticing a difference one way or another in Hoponius (I guess to your point). All I can say the cans of HU I have the fridge right now taste mighty fine.

Does that mean the potency of the hops has declined or are people's pallets becoming more desensitized to them?

I imagine these 12 packs will be available outside of the event?

I’m up in NH visiting, and did something happen to JA distribution in the Lakes Region? Can’t even seem to find the Haus Bier anywhere. I found some stuff like the summer Pilsner at a Bottle Shop, but I noticed they changed the format from 6x16 to 4x16.

The 12 packs will only be available at the brewery. At least one of the beers from the pack will see some distribution though.

I was on the fence about the anniversary 12 pack since it's just one of each and I have reservations for tonight so I'll try a few then. But holy smokes, I couldn't pass up the $25 bargain. Now just hoping the steins last until 6pm so I can get my first beer in one.

Fingers crossed that they make it to tomorrow when I can get down there, really looking forward to the mix pack, that triple decocted lager sounds amazing.

@JacksAbbyBrewing any more 2 percent beer initiative stuff coming soon? I can’t get enough of it, it’s the perfect beer to take to anywhere I might need to drive home from.

I pre-ordered two anniversary packs yesterday for pick up today. One placed at noon yesterday, the second at midnight. Even 12 hours apart I have orders 1 and 6. Most likely means tons of 12 packs left to go.

Order number probably reset at 10 last night when we closed. We only have a couple left now.

Winter beers come out in October, that would be a short season for sales. And Jack’s Abby brews multiple batches, so you can hold off until September and still get fresh beer.

Also, the actual Oktoberfest is mostly in September, ending the first few days in October. It’s meant to be a warm(er) weather event, being a family oriented outdoor carnival too.

It’s called Oktoberfest because it was originally held in October. But they quickly moved it up a month to have nicer weather. The second day I went it was 75 and sunny and I was outside the tents drinking in shorts.

All that being said, July is a tad bit early.

Thanks for the background and additional information. Glad to know that I don't need to jump on this canning run to get it fresh.

Post Shift pils so always fantastic. I don't have to worry about getting shit faced and still enjoy the crispiness

Just curious @JacksAbbyBrewing , is the $16 price tag for Framingham lager 4pk a typo? Seems weird i can buy 2x 4pks of Hoponious for the same price

Looks like it was. Their take-out menu now shows it at the usual $12/4-pack specialty brew price.
