What beer are you drinking now? #3191

I hope the Polish beers are fresher than what we come across in Chicago. I stopped buying beers (from all countries) without a bottle/can date beyond brand new releases, which sadly eliminates many beers.

Popped open the first of these, less flavorful than my memories from 2019. Hopefully this will change (had too much salt late last night).

There will be more beers today, perhaps a lot, with the Revolution release, Half Acre celebration at my local beer store and other potential targets.

Tree House Brewing Gggreenn! NEIPA

Hazy light golden yellow color with white cap and lacing.

Citrus forward aroma, pineapple perhaps, the rest a tropical melange with touches of orange zest. Hop influence is herbal and noticeable.

Taste is full, smooth, tropical citrus with a velvety texture and light hop bitterness. The herbal hoppiness balances beautifully with the citrus. Malt provides fullness and a touch of sweetness yet remains in the background allowing citrus to march forth.

Full texture with balancing carbonation.

This is really good. It drinks easily like a well balanced Lager yet is something altogether different.

Just jog-mowed my 3/4 acre yard to beat the rain...that now looks like it's gonna me miss me. Oh well.

 

I'm starting the day with Blanche de Namur, a Belgian Wit from Brasserie Du Bocq. It's a proper Belgian Wit with aromas and flavors of coriander, lemon, wheat and yeast. Very nice, I rated it 3.77 which is right on its BA average of 3.82.

Is my choice right now boring? You bet. But I have meetings/Zooms, and other errands for now.
I'll leave the door open for real beer... So this UA Stout will have to do. Cheers!

In my glass now is Vallejo from Half Acre. It's a nice IPA with notes of mango and papaya mixed in with citrus and pine. It's a good one and I'm glad I got two.
