Vanilla Deth and GDB might be poised to make a comeback based on those dates ^^.

I doubt they will do Code Switch again, that was a collab and not well received (although I really liked it).

 

I really liked Code Switch actually, thought it was a well done and unique beer.

To whoever mentioned VSO Mineshaft Gap, behave.

Thundertaker is the pipe dream, such a great beer. Any SJ variants too
Thought VSOJ batch 2 was just as great as batch 1, loved the taproom variants too. From one REV to another, great job!

 

I heard the same. The tequila barrel stout will be using a bigger version of the Deth's Tar recipe and will be called S'Tar-quila Base.

Wow, I missed VSOJ batch 1, but b2 is an outstanding beer. I’m trying to let it warm up a bit, but it’s so damn tasty that I’m nearly finished and the temp has barely budged. I’ve had quite a few BBA beers lately (no whalez, but all from solid breweries), and this outclasses them all. Love love love Rev’s approach to the Deep Woods beers!

 

I'll be at Revolution brew pub next week on the 29th. Any chance VSOJ will flow on tap until then or wishful thinking?

I like the idea of a double barrel Thundertaker, or a VSO Thundertaker. Hazelnut sounds really good too.

Banana beers though.... I loved Prop 17, and it's in the running for my favorite beer of all time. I feel like every other banana beer I've tried has paled in comparison and severely disappointed. I think Rev would probably be able to do a good job, but I'd be really worried.

Im going to pick up my beer saturday and heading to the brewpub for food so hopefully VSOJ is still on at the pub

 

We've seen DB cans for stouts and Boss cans for the barleywines, I'm hoping there are some flips for the future. DB VSOJ Cherry Rye is still at the top of my list, I'd love to see a full on DB Straight Jacket. Similarly, something like Boss Deth that is finished in port or apple brandy.

 

I hope you're right, but I just can't see them fruiting 2 year old beer.

 

The DB VSOJ Cherry Rye they served a few years back was amazing.
