Free Lions Brewery (Viterbo, ITA) - GELATO 41 - Double Dry Hopping Session Ipa (4,3%)

From a craft brewery in my region that has been producing for quite a few years, an hour from Rome.
Nuesta is their new DDH Session Ipa with Solero hops.
Freshly tapped tropical-medium / intense scents.
Deep yellow, almost light orange, slightly opaque.
Creamy foam, abundant, soft and tasty.
Body not very light, the malty notes are felt more than I expected bed they affect both the taste and the body.
The carbonation is lively, not excessive, and pleasant almost to try to return a sensation of smoothness greater than that which this summer beer actually has.
In the mouth the flavors of passion fruit, mango and papaya prevail.
In the background hints of yellow peach, plum and a slight reflection of pineapple.
From a Session Ipa I would have expected a lower incisiveness of the malty components.

Taking the rest of the week off to spend time with the family. Starting today because it’s Junior’s birthday. Last year before he’s a teenager. God help me. Celebrating with a longtime want from Cycle.

Junior is a Beatles fan (we raised him well), so this one is for him.
Because if I posted one of his favorite songs, it would be a video game theme....

 

On my three days off. Gf started a new job yesterday. Need to pick up my car from the shop today. Need new brakes and rotors but nothing else was wrong. Nissan is pretty good. Gotta make 7 hour drives so should be fine. I've never played Tropico but I am doing the tutorial now for 5. This beer is amazing. As usual. Such a unique yeast profile.

Poured at 58°. The coffee has begun to fade, still a fine tasting BBA breakfast beer. Cheers and have a great day y’all!

I am drinking a Sip of Sunshine with the best burger I have ever had, not even up for discussion... Tuckaway Tavern in Raymond NH. Mexican street corn as a side. I'm on vacation and have not kept up on sports but am very happy for my friend @GreenBayBA and the Bucks!!

Tuckaway is awesome, but Vann they always have great stuff on draft bud. Check out the butcher shop after like 15 different kinds of sausage. Place is amazing.

 

This one is unique but really tasty on a warm day.

 

Found this one again at Aldi's. From Redhook Brewlab in Washington State, Long Hammer IPA.

This may be one of the blurriest beer labels I’ve ever photographed. Have to find more by October for my birthday.

It’s always important to introduce your kids to great music. Both of mine love this song that we just heard on the SiriusXM kids station on the way to bowling practice.

 

Back home and all settled in from my trip to Colorado. Had an unbelievable time. Amazing food, beer, people, and sights. I’ll be back for sure.


Wax Wings Condor Valley: Brunch (fruited sour w/ blueberry, tangerine, waffles, maple syrup, and vanilla). It’s weird, but it works. Not as sweet as you’d expect given the adjuncts.

 

This is a really tasty local NEDIPA that I meant to bring on the trip. Glad I forgot it now.
