This is a weird ‘lite’ lager, seems more like a witbier to me. Dick Murphy Lite by Whitman Brewing.

Delicious single-hop IPA. I loved Riwaka in a recent Other Half beer I had (and I’ve been a little down on them recently) and this is right there with it. Has a creamy citric melon thing going on.

One of the greatest intros to an album ever.

Two from Treehouse. A pale ale weighing in at 4.7%, and hopped with cascade, citra, and centennial. Good beer!

Genny Cream ale…can’t go wrong with that. Cheap and good enough.

Bissell DBL Lux- One of the better double IPAs that I’ve had from them. The mosaic and rye work so well together. Hopefully this becomes a regular.

An @alexsergio special here. Hey! I can smell this one . Wow. Just an unbelievably good DIPA. Sweet without being cloying. Juicy as fuck. Really soft feel. Easy to drink for the abv.

One of the best, underrated Tribe songs here. Phife kills it.

Vanilla Bean Catharis is hitting the spot on this Sunday evening. Reminds me of Trillium’s Vanilla PM Dawn. Nice beer to have to in the fridge, especially as Autumn rolls in and the evenings start to get chilly.

I also went up to Suarez yesterday and picked up some bottles, a few cans, and most importantly some pretzels. It's been a while since I've had this in my fridge! #teampalatine

Sampling a CT OG brewery tonight. Willimantic Brewing Willi Whammer Barleywine. 2019 vintage in a crowler. This brewery is a great stop and if you are there you MUST get the nachos! Dangerous portion size and amazingly well done. Excellent beers too. I totally disregarded the warnings on the label as I cellared for about 5 months on a shelf.
I am totally surprised that this is the first time Ive officially reviewed this beer on BA. Onto my review:

Im sampling a 2019 vintage from a crowler filled at the brewpub. Crowler was filled about 5 months ago and has been in my cellar since. So barrel was aged for some time by Dave at the brewery before hitting draft lines.
I only get about 20 oz into my snifter. And Im excited by what I see and smell!
Nose on this beer is huge as soon as I pour the beer. I get rich toffee, raisin, red grape, figs and plums. Very rich robust malt forward nose. A bit of a port wine character and a hint of general booze. There isnt much of a hop profile here either. I got ahead of the looks as the nose really jumped at me. The beer is a deep clear mahogany color with a creamy beige head of 2 cm. This foam fades to a thin surface layer and leaves some scattered lattice when I swirl the beer. I also note several active streams of carbonation rising to the surface to maintain the thin foam.
So far, I really dig this beer, onto the first sip!
Body is medium and a little thinner than I would have expected but is very sticky textured and leaves some sticky residue on my lips with each sip. Carbonation is fine and fairly gentle on my palate.
Flavor is a mixture, I get some expected caramel and dark fruits, with plum and raisin dominant. But I also get a bit of earthy and black tea hop character, which I totally dont expect. Finally there is some black pepper booze and a bit of warming on the finish. A bit of lingering raisin rolls in with the warmth.
Im glad to have finally reviewed this one and reminded why Ive loved it in the past. Gotta get back to Willibrew more frequently that is the lesson from this beer!

    4.56 in the BA DB

This counts right? Almost 2 years old now. This is utterly amazing. Barrel is perfect. Head dissipated really quick but man. This is top 10 fucking stout no doubt. Dogfish Head still delivers the goods. This was great right out the cannon though.

This really isn’t my “music” but jesus, this is a pretty perfect delivery of this song.

It struck me as a lager with a touch of Torpedo in the mix. I was saying that the first 2 were very enjoyable but the 3rd can wasn't for me. It could have been me or it could have been a case of the beer just not holding up well. I feared that it wasn't the best thing to pass on to you at that point.
