Got the all clear from the medical front. Had a helmet on and that made a difference. Decided to relax today.

Just walked the dog. It's warm out, but very nice. Having a Butterfly Door from Grimm. Cheers!

    Nice Monday to everyone,
the last weekend was fun but hectic.
After training on Sunday morning we drank these two refreshing beers:

Jungle Juice Brewing (Roma, ITA) - SALTY LA FAINA - Gose (4,7%)

Fresh drink, batch 28/2021, recommended expiry date 21 March 2022.
On the nose immediately mineral notes (which "pinch" the nose a little) and coriander.
Poured has a hazy straw yellow color.
Abundant and soft foam that disappears quickly.
In the mouth very light and drinkable body. Ideal carbonation.
In the mouth there is a nice sapidity given by the salty taste that characterizes the first part of the drink, before leaving room for a taste of coriander that makes the drink "more pleasant" on the palate after having swallowed.
In this case the sour note is really well masked and the predominant scents are the initial salinity and the embrace of coriander on the finish.
Delicate hints of cereal when the beer approaches room temperature.
Excellent Gose, respecting the Leipzig style, slightly more "charged" for my taste compared to a classic German style (such as the "Leipziger Gose" of Bayerischer Bahnhof). Perhaps, a more intense salinity and coriander taste than a classic original gose, but still VERY faithful to the style.

Then we opened this other one:

Lough Gill Brwing Co. (Sligo, IRL) - WILD IRISH GOSE - Kettle Sour Gose (4,0%)

This is definitely another type of beer...
With this fast method of lactic acidification on which I still appreciated too little to express a definitive judgment, even if I got a little idea...
As soon as the can is opened, salty notes are immediately surpassed by citrus notes (lime, cedar).
Golden color, sheer / slightly opaque.
Foam of little consistency, evanescent that quickly disappears completely.
In the mouth the taste is VERY particular... meanwhile the body is extremely smooth with that widely recognizable marine salinity that closely resembles sea water...
Tip more harsh than sour, immediately after a pervading citrus taste, but not of orange or mandarin, rather of lime, green lemon, cedar... between the harsh and even a slight bitterness.
The result is a not too clear taste, in a beer that offers a note of light lactic acid at the beginning and ending with a marine salinity that dries the tongue on the finish.

At a bar with 72 beers on tap but Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is what I really wanted. Didn't realize their smallest pint is 20 oz. After a couple I knew something was up.

Going dark. Nerdbrewing is a very local brewery who excel at big, bold stouts. This is #004 from their Barrel Series, and it’s a whopper. An imperial oatmeal stout aged in Heaven Hill barrels, clocking in at a hefty 17.4 %. This is gonna be a slow sipper. It will pair well with my favorite musician to close my eyes and drift away to.

That looks really good. Because of lockdown whenever I see someone post a beer on a nice bar top with a really nicely lit bar it just looks fantastic to me now.
    Enjoy, cheers
