That first beer went down remarkably quickly - being as though it is Monday evening and all....

After enjoying a 31-mile bicycle ride early this morning and then taking a 90-minute nap early this afternoon, a fine lager eases me into the late afternoon...

Outer Range Brewing Co. -- Infinite SingleTrack (hoppy lager)

Crystal-clear medium gold body; lots of lively carbonation; fairly thick, white head; creamy and sticky. Interesting smell; a bit vegetal and vinous; white grape; a lurking sense of cereal grain. Excellent bread crust backbone flavor infused with a light, dry white wine undertone; very mild bitterness. Medium body; warm and dry on the palate.

Infinite SingleTrack is a tasty, malt-forward beer utilizing subtle elements of Nelson hops.

Poured at 50 F; no canning data found on the label.

[IMG] Day one at the new job in the books and I decided this is the perfect start this evening, especially considering I got this from @TheIPAHunter a few years back and he seems to be covering my work load on this Monday. Cheers and thank you Hunter for stepping up in my absence.

A little fridge cleanup, this old school WCIPA is holding up really well with 2+ months of whiskers on it. Absolutely love it.

I couldn't say with any confidence. I never really cared for the beer and the last time I had it was years ago... and it was contract brewed at that time as well. Plus, the cans aren't clearly dated. I wasn't kidding when I said beggars can't be choosers. I can't see myself buying more of this anytime soon... but having said all that, I'm trying to resist the temptation to open my other two cans right now. Take that for what it's worth.

Temps here have been debilitating. Cooling centers are set up across the metro. I've lived here for 30 years and this summer is so far the worst drought/heat wave seen here by many and it is affecting my physical activities. Simple domestic chores become loathsome. I did run 4 miles today doing intervals. Mostly streets. That was all I felt safe doing. Changed the engine oil and oil filter in one of my trucks the evening of the tire rotation. Temps cool off at night but I can't run at night. Cut the lawn Sat night and Sun morning to beat some heat. Bla bla bla
EINSTOK Icelandic White Ale. Very cold. It's not bad but could use more hops...just a wee bit more. It has kind of a sour smell but drinks nicely. Can date: best before Feb 24, 2022. It's not a colorful tasting beer but it releases orange peel and coriander like white ales kinda do and it's very refreshing. Wow. This may very well be my longest and most babbling post yet!:beers:

Wolfe’s Neck. An IPA brewed by Maine Beer Company.

I get some great local IPAs here in Richmond but I have to tell you there are a number of Maine Beer Company IPAs that are just as good, some maybe even better. A bit pricey but well worth the cost.

Here is hoping they keep distributing some of their brews to Richmond.

#2 in the beer fridge cleanup initiative, this has 3+ months of whiskers and is absolutely delicious. You could foudre age a petrified Burmese python and I’d probably enjoy it. J Wakefield is the realio dealio.

I love that stuff and will literally eat it for breakfast. I had my own recipe but was taught by a Korean woman her family recipe. Really good and pretty damn spicy
