What beer are you drinking now? #3201

Had this before. Liked it so bought a four pack a couple of weeks ago. First can sucked. Looked at the date. Over six months old. Wrote to the brewery.

Tried another can a few days later. Was not too bad so I drank it.

Tried a third can just now. Looked at the canning date. Canned 02/05/21. Looked at the canning date of the fourth can. Said it was canned 02/16/21.

Sadly, had to drain pour (in my my case feed the worms in the soil around the azalea bushes). I hardly ever waste beer.

if anyone was able to deal my long diatribe, can you explain why there would be different canning dates on beer in the same four pack?

 

I'm really not a fan of this beer so I'm trying to get rid of it .. and even though I know the reason for the name, it's still a stupid f'n name for a beer. Begone stat!

Leave it to Zid to post about Holy Grail Ale and Dave Lindley, one of my favorite shows was seeing him solo.

Then Tongo, reminded me it was made by Black Sheep, use to to go to The Flying Saucer a lot for their pint and glass nights, one was the Holy Grail and a ceramic chalice made or produced or whatever, by Black Sheep, which you had to pay extra for as it was the most expensive "glass" they had done at that time. It was the first time they charged for the extra glass as I recall, and now that is standard practice, well they rarely do pint and glass nights now so that in itself is always a deal, but it changed the way they do those, probably over 10 years ago or so...

And now breaking out the Peter O'Toole clips, oh man. Love it

Bailed on the walk today, just sick of the heat at this point. Grabbed one of my favorites for an evening beer while listening to Eloy Jimenez' return to the White Sox.

If you like/love a solid WCIPA, or are open to trying one, I highly recommend this beer. One of my favorites.

I think I may have had one of them. The IPAs though interest me.

 

My guess would be it happened at the retailer. Someone combined 4 packs after one busted.

 

Those of you that know me know that if it says “farmhouse” I’m buying it. I’m a sucker for these natural, earthy, fresh tasting ales. I love the flavors and the ambience that surround them. My closer for the night as I’ve had plenty for today. Tomorrow, we head back to the city. A weekend around Little Traverse Bay which filters into Lake Michigan is enough to remind me that we live in the greatest state in this country, and the greatest country in the world. No offense to my brothers and sisters from elsewhere but I for one am extremely proud to be a resident of the great beer state of Michigan and the United States of America.
