    There are a few threads each week bemoaning this or that about beer. I realize not everyone has access to a great local or regional brewery nearby, most most here have access to great regional or national brands, many great values in terms of quality and price. Seek and drink what you like, it's out there more so than ever before.

    I first saw Jethro Tull in 1971 at The Mosque in Richmond. We had just had several Lowenbrau drafts at Lums across from Monroe Park. We were very happy and fired up. We were in the balcony pre show and the crowd was rowdy and jubilant, tossing frisbees, smoking weed, and eager for a good show. A frisbee landed at my feet and I heaved it towards the stage. The damned thing landed on top of a timpany, on mic, going thumpity thump. I was amazed. Ian Anderson walks out, picks up the frisbee and says "that's a hard act to follow". Needless to say I love the band to this day.

    Drinking Heineken, got a fancy tip sheet full of sure things. @ChicagoJ This is truly a beautiful place full of history and world class racing. The graveyard moniker has a lot to back it up, but day to day there's a lot of chalk. I live 25 min from here.

    I'm having a Narragansett Fresh Catch. It's a pretty refreshing Blond Ale. Well balanced between cereal/bready malts and citrus hops. A nice one.

    Realized I've forgotten to rate/review Bell's Light Heated Ale. I love the beer. How silly of me! Must have been busy drinking or something:joy: :beers:
    I beat the heat this morning and got in a 6.35 mile run. Had to take the hilly road...lots of steam rising up. Long hills. Good clean air after a big rain and lightning storm early this AM.
