Old Nation M-43 NEIPA. 5/17/21 can date. This one has taken a while to gather my tasting notes...wow. Sort of complex and kind of strong. What a beer! It appears IMHO it is a bit over-rated but is a really good example of the style. I'm going with a 4.25 rating.
No running today as Canadian wildfire smoke has descended upon us here once again but I did go for a 3 mile power walk. Glad I didn't run. The sky is yellow and the air is blue.
Unfortunately I can't hang for Lager Fest. Gotta work that entire weekend (a good thing) but I'd be here it if I could. Hope you enjoy the blank can from the good luck 4pk. I did

I have been on vacation for a more than a week and I am still yet to get a weekday free and clear of work (the reason I took 2 weeks). I am trying to find a bit more balance, which is why Harmony from Tree House Brewing (Charleton, MA) seemed appropriate. Unfortunately, in the can only 5 weeks and already starting to fade.

Howdy folks - good to hear some updates from @superspak and @Shanex to get the morning started. Good luck, Ian, in North Carolina! Hope it all works out.

As usual, starting sage with an UA Florida Weisse, good start to the day after an 11 mile trail run in Mueller State Park at 9000 feet. Those hills and climbs, tho, nothing easy about today.

Which means, of course, that I'll be back with a "real" beer later. Bet your ass on it.

Pumpkin ales and Oktoberfest beers are here, BA...

I don't mind - clearly, eh? - they had a favorite of each style, pumpkin and fest...

--> taken a pass on Mexican Cake the past few years, but I've had my share and figured it's due a revisit - bottling date says 5/26/2 - the last digit missing from all the bottles - lol - I assume it's this year's release, but sometimes Total Wine does put beer on the shelf from earlier releases, just like a couple of my favorite old bottle shops did....

Right now with a Pumking...

No matter where my palate roams, I enjoy some Pumking each year...

--> You can see my latest gin, Nikka Coffey Gin, in the background - and no matter what my brain knows, I keep thinking it's gonna be a "coffee" gin - lol - smh

Good gosh the smoke in the air here is now like fog. Gross. Now I can smell strong conifer smoke.
Time to mellow down easy with Spotted Cow. Drinks well in the Kolsch glass...Very farm-like. Beautiful and delicate with a tad bit of yeast. Lightly sweet, not shoehorned with hops. Easy drinkin' with the T R I B E

I will take my dogs for a short hike, but it's 93 and so freaking bright. I've watered my tomatoes 3 times already. Martha is in West Jefferson and it's 82. I love elevation, even though we are at close to 1000 feet. It's too hot!!

The GF and I enjoyed sharing a can of this beer for last NBW enough to share a second one immediately after. Didn’t follow up with any until today, and after buying another four pack, we can each have a couple cans of our own

 

Hedison’s Medison a 9% ABV Imperial IPA from 4 City Brewing in Orange NJ. Excellent brew from an under the radar brewery.
