What Beer Are You Drinking Now? #3211

Good morning BAs! I slept in this morning, and just now getting to my coffee - Founders’ Mothership Series (taproom only) release #16 - “Maple Barrel-Aged Frangelic Mountain Brown”:



Purchased at the Grand Rapids taproom 7/15/21. Bottled 1/21/21. Poured at 58°. Layers of flavors - sweet maple syrup, caramel candy, nutty bourbon balls, coffee on the backend. No hint of 11%. My beer sweet tooth approves! I could only buy/hand carry a few of these from the taproom, and wish I had had the the ability to grab a case…

The weather cooperated yesterday and I was able to unload the RV, and then later Mrs. Z’s SUV laden purchases from her independent travels when she arrived home yesterday evening…I overdid it…my ribs (bruised) and right shoulder (recovering complete dislocation) are throbbing…what’s a boy to do? What’s that? “Drink beer all day and skip the pain meds.” You read my mind brothers and sisters of the Now! Cheers and have a therapeutic Thursday, y’all!

 

Epic trip! Any chance there might be some Vichy stolen gold bars with polish writing ,under the floor boards in the family bar?!

Purchased at the brewery on Sunday during my meetup with two of my Charleston beer buddies. A flagship, reliable, and perhaps my favorite IPA in South Carolina. Always solid. Loads of Citra hops, yet dank and nuanced. So easy drinking. Cheers y’all!

My early morning running plans were dashed by the fact that my plants and trees are parched. Severe drought. Been watering since 4:30AM and yes. Yes I'll have an Old Mil. Maybe two because I can. I don't like it all the time but it's just right for now. They could re-name it: Old Fast

Back from the dentist. Things looked good. I got the usual admonishment about my gums, but they are not getting worse.
I had a fluoride treatment and, as instructed, waited an hour before eating or drinking.

I’ve been on the road for about 6 weeks; just picked up the mail…most is probably junk, but the whole requires my attention nonetheless…getting motivated…a hot shower and another beer - Pisgah Brewing Company, Black Mountain, NC, “Greybeard” IPA, in my sick tumbler from nearby Burial:



A fine drinking South Eastern/American style IPA…Skunky earthy hops with lemony notes…This brewery’s hours did not coalesce with my recent travels through/around Asheville, but I have it on my radar…Thank you @Ocalafox for another new to me brewery/beer!

 

Howdy all - nice to see some shots of @RaulMondesi on his Euro-landia vacay, including Lille (such a great city, I think).
Anyway, the usual UA N/A beer, found some more Watermelon Gose yesterday. Lucky me.
Back a bit later with the "real stuff," but had to be wise after the 12mile trail run today out at Mueller State Park (shot below)>

Vine Shine an AIPA, from Magnify Brewing. Magnify has been around for about 7 years. They brew a lot exotic flavored beer these day. Vine Shine is one of their original beers, nothing exotic about it. It’s an excellent IPA refreshing and enjoyable.

 

Another IPA bought on Sunday at the brewery - “Conspicuous Consumption”, Charles Towne Fermentory, Charleston, SC:



Brewed with Callista, Mosaic Cryo, and Citra hops. I like! A rare (for me) Mosaic infused beer that smells and tastes great…and a reminder to me that the journey rewards the persistent and open minded. Cheers gang!
