I’ve been drinking more and more na’s this year. That one is a good one! Now if they’d just make an na version of their Festbier I’d be one happy dude. Still haven’t seen any na Oktoberfest options…I thought for sure we’d see one by now.

So far we had a shit summer. Im guessing today will be the hottest day of whats left of 2021. I'll drink to that. Cheers!

Lunch beer - Hop Momma IPA, a hazy brewed with peach, apricot and habanero, by Shmaltz Brewing Company, Elmsford, NY:



I’ve never had a beer with this amount and size (chunks) of floaties…visually off-putting:



Peach flavor with a little hot peppers vibe; nice, however, the beer is so disgusting looking (to me) I don’t want to drink it…a very rare for me drain pour…

 

My wife got me a membership with Beer Drop, and this was in last month's delivery. A nice surprise, and it reminded me of Maine.

 

A random person bough me a pint. I reminded them of their brother. Then I was told a tale of estrangement, redemption and death. The Irish

 

I'm curious to know what a shit summer in Belgium is like...To hot..to cold? What are the average summer temps there?

 

Lots of rain and windy cloudy weather. Last few weeks the average temperature was 68 F. Normally it should be 75F and not that much rain at all. But maybe we got spoiled the last few years. Im not a fan of hot weather. 68F is fine for me but without the rain, wind and clouds 8)

 

Next beer is from the beautifull country Croatia. First beer I have thats brewed with kveik yeast. Not bad but wouldnt buy again.

 

Ooooh... they could call it "Soberfest" - well, maybe not.

Moving on from my last habanero IPA, and keeping with the habanero theme, drinking one of my favorite stouts - Westbrook’s “Mexican Cake”:



Purchased at the brewery 7/31/21. Canned 5/28/21. Poured at 54°. Delicious! Chocolate cake, habanero/hot green verde sauce, and just a dusting of cinnamon. The deft touch with the cinnamon makes this year’s Cake one of my favorites! Cheers y’all!

 

Beer #2. Looks like dirty carrot water, but thankfully doesn’t taste like it.
