Cracked open a Sorry Not Sorry last night and it was great. It has some wonderful complexity, deep chocolate fudgy flavor, wonderful roasted peanut elements and subtle saltiness. A real winner in my book. Going to max out the allocation for sure and the re-up.

Have a Liberty and Chaucer still to open and will report back when those are cracked open.

I dig it. I was excited, and then worried I'd hyped too much and would be disappointed, but it's very good.

The flavor profile is more reserved, subtle, and elegant. Think like a White Oak or Smooth Criminal... it's the Ruekeller Pilsner of massive beers. If your brain is stuck on bonkers multi-adjunct stouts you might be underwhelmed at first.

The booze is real hot at first but mellows as it warms. The bright floral honey flavor is fantastic, and while sweet it's not a sweetness bomb at all. The honey also doesn't add any unwanted (to me at least) viscosity. Body is light and easy drinking for a beer of this size. A blonde Black Tuesday perhaps?

This would be an AMAZING base for them to play with... maybe do a spiced version, a fruited version... not sure if if a double barrel version would overwhelm or not.

Anyway, I'm grabbing my max 4. Not sure if I'll do more than that, maybe wait and reassess later this year if it comes back in a second chance sale.

Was just at OG Bruery. Their society tap list is huge right now around 30 beers with a good amount of 13th anniversary beers. This years chocolate rain might be the best yet. Ridiculously Drinkable

Thanks to annoying health issues, I can't drink for another week and a half and it's killing me with how much dropped this month! Chocolate Rain season is always a joy.

Parley Porter is delicious. Verrrry sweet--I was more than done after about 6 oz--and not really true-to-style for a porter (the roasty malt flavors get lost in everything else that is going on). But the rum and the pineapple and the coconut work together beautifully. The combination is complex and delicious (but again, you gotta like sweet beers).

Opened mine tonight and would echo this. I was prepared for "very" sweet (like Bierbara or Apfelsap) but it stops short of those.

There are a lot of flavors going on here, and somehow they all balance together into a smooth experience. It actually got me thinking in part of 5 Golden Rings (one of my all time faves).

I'm not buying more just because there's something in the spicing I don't love (grabbing those two more Chaucers instead), but objectively this is a tremendously made highly original beer. There's a hint of something in the aroma that reminds me of infected beer (though it's definitely not infected).

As "cocktail" beers go this still feels like it's in the beer family.

Finally got to try Churrosity last night. Great creamy mouthfeel. You can see it in the pour. There is also a nice balance of chocolate, cinnamon, with a touch of the Dulce de leche and milk sugar sweetness. You can taste the bourbon without the ethanol kick. Overall, a great beer.

But, and here's the "but", it's not the original. I do miss the cinnamon whiskey barrel. That had a sharpness to the cinnamon. Like the little kick you get from a cinnamon hard candy. Not overpowering. Just a bite. I also don't remember it being as sweet.

I haven't tried Chocolate Churrosity yet. The chocolate notes in Churrosity are already high. I can assume that's why some of the reviews for Chocolate have the chocolate as overpowering. We'll see.

I may be proving I'm an idiot... but when they had announced a "fluffernutter BT" coming this year I didn't put 2+2 together it would be a re-release of Liberty Stoutwhich... Well, it's also just occurred to me that the "Maple Pecan Pie BT" is probably a re-release of "You Want a Piece of me?" Which would be fantastic since I loved that one!

But then I got to thinking: they teased those beers during member signups last year before the BT box came out... which means they'd committed to the 2021 versions before even seeing people's reactions to the BT box. I guess I would have assumed the BT boxes were meant as pilots, but apparently not. Okay, enough procrastinating, back to work!

That's a lot of thinking. Hope you left something in the tank to get your work done.

Blueberry Pancake is drinking amazing, age has amplified the blueberry notes.
Kept in fridge temp since purchased.

Opened an 18 BT Reserve and it is deeeelicious. I can't believe how chocolatey it is.

Harshness mellowed out nicely but still very warm and boozy (in a good way).

Have a question, I have a Hoarders membership. Has anyone ever " rented out or split" there membership for a year or more. What kind if any problems you had if any? Thanks

I share my hoarders and we’ve never had problems. We all get the same benefits on the website and tasting room. The Bruery allow 3 total people for tasting room benefits for hoarders members. The only semi issue we’ve ran into is events. For most events like anniversary party the main hoarder member has to present. Basically if main hoarder wasn’t available to attend an event then no one is able to attend.
