@Resistance88 - I have the same feeling about MT, some solid offerings but their BA beers overpriced for the most part. It was a must stop my first few San Diego visits, but not anymore.

@Schmittymack - I typically go to Vegas once a year, and will post in the Vegas thread in the US Pacific Thread (now US West) pre/post trip. The Vegas Beer scene has really improved the past few years. Next trip planned for the Winter.

Everything Glistened and Sparkled



Full review here. Short and sweet, this is another wonderful saison by Keeping Together. Dry, crisp, clean, complex flavors. A heavy hitter, stronger than I recall of their other saisons, very enjoyable.

Will return with the second half of this to enjoy during the Sox Yankees game in the corn.

I brought a bunch of great beers back from Wisconsin…dropped to the no. 2 highest rated Wisconsin beer, my favorite fruited ale - New Glarus Brewing Co.’s “Wisconsin Belgian Red”:



Pale burgundy/cherry juice color; fast fizzy pinkish off-white head; excellent clarity; no cap, ring nor lace. Strong cherries nose. Taste is cherries; semi sweet with a touch of tartness. Clean feel; light body; moderate minus carbonation. A wonderful fruited ale; overall, a world class beer!

 

Time for another cold one.

I've gotten ridiculously picky about my glasses. I was all myself and by hand. My 23 year old son is living with me temporarily while he gets on his feet. I somehow turned him into a total German beer snob. I'm like - "get your own glasses dude" when he starts reaching for my favorites.

 

At Climbing Bines Hop Farm/ Brewrey in Penn Yan NY, drinking their IPA. This brewery grows it’s own hops and uses NY grown barley for it’s malts. It’s a good IPA, but I won’t be buying another.
