Awesome!! A true BA for sure. Sharing the Forward. Glad you liked it. Goldfinger is really building a following with quality lagering.

Goat Patch Brewing Co. -- Barrel-Aged Baltic Porter

    Original July 12th, 2021 ratings: 3.75 3.75 3.5 3.75 3.5

No change in the look or smell. A slight bump in the taste; it's slightly richer, fuller; not as bitter or phenolic. No change in the mouthfeel.

Yes, a decent enough barrel-aged Baltic porter, but nothing exceptional.

    Poured at 61.3 °F.

    ---------------------

A nice, dark brown body; frothy and creamy, light khaki hued head. An enticingly mild charred grain aroma; very mild sweetness on the nose. Light cocoa notes; grain char; boozy and phenolic; heavy bitterness. Heavy body; smooth and slick; some decent residual sugars yet has an overall hot dryness to it.

The beer brings some dark lager smoothness to the party yet also has some mildly harsh qualities. It's actually fairly enjoyable but not exceptional.

Poured out at 55 F; no bottle dating info available.

...I'm hooking up with some old USAF friends I met in South Korea...we're going to breakfast in the Springs Sunday morning, to a well-run public shooting range just outside of Ft. Carson (a joint operation between the USA (i.e., United States Army) and El Paso County, CO), and will probably come back to my place for some good beers, food, and jaw boning...used to be my subordinates -- they both excelled way beyond me in their military careers...old military folks have a way of doing this...especially us retired USAF people...

...and for what it's worth, I'm measuring cartridge overall length (COL), not bullets...it's an engineering thing...
