It is 88ºF (31.1ºC) in New York City's northern suburbs; combined with the 55% humidity, it's not too bad in the shade, but very uncomfortable in the sun. It is common, even customary, for New Yorker to seek out their fire escapes and rooftop, especially as it cools down in the evening.

No longer a city dweller, I am hanging by the pool paying homage with a can of Gun Hill Brewing's (Bronx, NY) Rooftop, a "Hopped Pilsner," perhaps what would qualify as a New Zealand, which is hitting all the right notes: cold, slightly minty, very orange citrusy, and thirst quenching. Perfect:
