    Good day BAs! Off to another chilly start - 62 degrees and a bit hazy. Picked eggplant, jalapenos, tomatoes, and zukes yesterday but most of the tomatoes are still green so I'm hoping the first killing frost holds off for another week or two. Now that we're out of quarantine, it's time to do some heavy duty beer traveling. Today's New Breakfast Beer:

    Ho-hum. Another overpriced mediocre NEIPA - rating 3, rDev -22.1%.

    Greetings all,

    First beer of the week will be Leffe Tripel, it’s been a fun and interesting weekend meeting up with @RaulMondesi this past Saturday and his French GF, both are fine people but that was expected. offered him a couple of Belgian beers and we chatted about life and things just like two BA would: over a beer and having a good time.

    I really appreciated that his GF drove to my town which was still on their way to Dunkirk anyway, so I had to make their stay a pleasant one. :wink:

    Leffe Tripel right now and enjoying some peace and quiet, hence no music in the background:

    Good morning BAs! This morning’s coffee is courtesy of @GreenBayBA and our meet up last month - Bell’s 35th Anniversary Expedition Stout Reserve:

    Bottled 9/3/20. Poured at 57°. Ink black; one finger of dark tan mixed bubbles head quickly dissipates leaving a small filmy island and solid ring; spots of lace and thick legs on swirl. Nose is roast malt, chocolate and coffee. Roast bitterness, char and burnt brown sugar up front; bittersweet dark chocolate, chocolate brownie batter; raisins; roast coffee as beer warms; star anis and molasses on backend. Medium full body, moderate minus carbonation; some warmth from 11.5% abv; dryish finish. Overall, layers of flavors, however, at almost one year old the char/bitterness is still strong with a long bitter linger; a tasty RIS, yet more bitter roast than I want…it would be interesting to see how this beer tastes in a few years.     Yeah, you guessed it. My version of OJ.
    Good thing I grabbed the last 2 6ixers of this at Coaltrain last week.
    Chillin' for a few days, babying the legs, walking, stretching. Gotta get the knee swelling down, and keep bandages fresh. Looking forward to seeing some BAs this weekend in Chicago.

    We spent the weekend in Phoenix to meet our new grandson. A good-looking kid. He's six weeks old and he has a 20 month old sister. Needless to say, our daughter has her hands full!
    We had a great visit, but it's always good to get back home.

    I've had one of these in my fridge since they released and great to know i can let it sit a bit longer. Expedition Stout is one of my absolute favorites and this one had me excited.

    Waiting inside the chiropractors office with wife while i enjoy this TenFidy under the radar fur breakfast
