As a simcoe stan I got lured into the more simcoe but it was a sweet melony mess, what happened to my dearest forever simcoe?

Florets w/Phantasm easily the worst of the bunch I tried from last week. It has this momentary flash of mosaic taste that instantly fades to what tastes like water. TDH DMD incredible, and digging the DMD w/Yakima. Was hoping to try More Mosaic alongside More Simcoe but the latter was unavailable by the time I got back to Brooklyn this weekend, and I guess I'm fortunate based on the post above.

One gripe is the (BK) designation on the website. I have no idea what it means. It seems unclear if it is brewed in Brooklyn or imported to Brooklyn. With the new batches of AGE, ACE, and others I just can't say where they are from originally - and while sure it doesn't matter much I think it would make sense to just put the brewery designation in the name online.

The hop bill on hand truck heroes intrigues me. If I can clear out the mosaic in time I'll try some.

Full cosign on the confusion with tabs, shapes and location references (BK) on the website.

Yesterday, I purchased the following (BK where listed on website):

    DDH All Citra Everything (BK)
-Circle on label (indicates BK), green tab (indicates DC)
    District Drip
-Triangle on label (indicates DC), green tab (indicates BK)
TDH Double Mosaic Chroma Daydream (BK)
-Pentagon on label (indicates Finger Lakes), blue tab (indicates Finger Lakes)

    Shit simply does not compute.

Citra week beers were way better than mosaic week beers. I'm grateful to have tried them though

Sounds like it’s green — let it sit for 2-3 weeks (yes, that long) before trying another one. Should be greatly improved.

Can we can some of those cans in BK sent over to DP for pickup. BK has a million different ones while DP has just a handful.

UGH, I really wanted to try TDH DMD and they sold out of cans by the time I swung by Sun. I didn't even have time to see if it was on tap to try because I was in a rush, oh well. Grab Mylar, bc Mylar Dust also went and Hand Truck Heroes will report back on each

Saw some kegs pop up for the first time in the neighborhood surrounding Other Half Philly, likely in preparation of the move.

Getting my palate ready for some cheesesteak / DDH-lactose-bomb pairings (anyone who mentions Pat's or Geno's except in a derogatory manner is banned from the city FYI).

Did anyone else try Melcher and think it was very carbonated? It was stinging my throat

Hoping to get to OH Brooklyn in the next few days for a can pickup. Any standouts to recommend?

DDH mosaic dream Haas edition is very nice. Also can’t go wrong with some DDH Green city. I grabbed a 4pack of it the other day at DP. I recognized the can on the shelf. When I went to order it the guy turned around and was surprised they even had it. Turns out it just got dropped and wasn’t added to the menu yet - was canned that same day. So enjoyed a can of green city in same day of canning and it was very good. Not overly green even on day 1. If anything the raw dough oat character stood out a little more (in a good way). Not sure if that will settle out as it melds, but think this batch will develop nicely. Lastly I’m always a sucker for forever ever. It’s always nice to have a low abv-er on hand. This batch was canned 8/10-ish and is drinking nicely. Not even sure what hop they use on the DDH (this often rotetes)

Don't think any of the IPAs named after local dishes with dairy have lactose, eg Dollar Slice and Bagel & Schmear.

This 7/13 batch of BK Mylar is drinking really good. Hand Truck Heroes is great, pretty much no melon and I am loving it. If I had to make one change I would like a bit more hop bite I remember from days past, but not much I can complain about with that beer!

Haven't dropped in on you all for a while, since moving to PA. As has been mentioned, lots of OH popping up around here (NEPA), apparently in advance of the Philly location opening. Sipping on a DDH ACE right now, apparently brewed in DC, canned 8/10. It's very good, though not quite at the levels of the best ACE I remember coming out of BK. Better than the AGE I recently tried (has more of the hop bite I prefer), not sure where the AGE was canned. In general, is there much difference between what comes out of the various locations? You guys have probably talked about this earlier in the thread, but I don't have it in me right now to back up through dozens of pages.

I remember there was a time you couldn't go wrong choosing an oh ipa. Now it's a shot in the dark. Not a fan of quantity over quality

I got an ACE from 8-10 from Bloomfield. Same feelings about it. In my opinion, the DC stuff is subpar and not worth the premium. I'll take tonewood any day over anything out of DC. BK is good still if you stick with non galaxy core stuff. Bloomfield does seem to have its stuff together better than DC, and I did love canadankua the multiple times I've had it in particular. Bigger issue is the melon divide. I liked the danker and more bitter qualities that balanced with sweet but that's just not the market right now. Tired Hands is for now dead to me, but if I want non bitter sweet ipas they do a better job. But a great ACE batch is superior to any tired hands I've had, including the lauded DDHs, which to be fair were pretty great.

DDH Grassman was pretty hard to beat, one of my faves of the year so far. So, how many OH locations are there, now? And they're all brewing the same beers?

Recent stuff coming out of BK has been very good, at least what I have had. Historically, stuff I have gotten from DC has been all very good, but this was some time back while OH was going through All Melon Everything stages. My friend is sending my a VA/DC box soon so I can report back on what he includes from OH. I haven't had a ton from FLX so I can't really comment on their offerings but pre-covid I did enjoy a lot of what made it down to BK.

In terms of locations I think its just BK, FLX, DC (Philly Pending). It seems that each location brews their own named versions of the same(ish) beer, as well as their own unique offerings, but it seems DC is also brewing some BK classics from time to time.
