I made some kielbasa with onions and peppers and I also took 4 long, red Italian chilies and added them to the pan. I really wasn't expecting them to be hot, but damn, these packed a serious punch that really surprised me. I had to open this beer to help cool down the fire.

You can see a piece of one of those red chilies just about mid center.

In the zone right now. Sometimes it's like that. Escapism. I love you. I'm dialed-in, so to speak.

Other Half DDH All Citra Everything. So, shit, turns out I'm the last to know about OH coming to Philly, which is probably why we're seeing lots of fresh cans in these parts. This is very good, slightly better than the All Green Everything I picked up last week, but not as mind-blowing as it's sometimes been in the past. I keep thinking about @TheIPAHunter saying recently that Citra can be a "cheater" hop, which I took to mean that it's hard to brew a really bad Citra beer. I don't think that's what going on here--it has a lot of dimension and a good, bitter back end. At any rate, this is out of their DC location; I'm curious to know the difference in the same beer coming out of different locations.

ORB Mora Mora ...a fruited kettle sour.
    Blackberry, mango, passionfruit, pineapple.
Good after a pretty long first day in the office and stuck in meetings on campus. Cheers!

What do you think of that? I've already made my August order from Trillium, thinking about picking that up if it lasts till Sept.1. I'm a huge fan of the Sauv Blanc version.

I'm drinking a Hazlewood Mexican Lager

at our neighborhood bar/ music Hall. This beer, a sour lager only makes sense in 100 degrees F. And 90 % humidity.

    Look how young

I would rather drink DDH Stillings. I'm glad I went in person because I'll be damned if I'm only getting one 4-pack of a Nelson beer in an online order. I love you.

Both great beers. Was going to go there today to get DDH Stillings Street but opted for a CT instead. Glad I did powers out

Wife and I spent our honeymoon (1974) at Nags Head. There was not much around in OBX in those days.

My local (Bare Hands) had their Double Thai Day over the weekend after skipping 2020 because ….. you know. So I bought an allotment, and this one is a repeat from 2018 - which makes me happy, because this was FIRE then, and it’s still FIRE. The Citra/Mosaic/Simcoe DDH combined with the Thai spices works exceptionally well, IMHO. Absolutely love it.

Imagine my surprise while I was shopping this evening and came across Victory Dry Hopped Prima Pils in 16 oz cans! The stats:

    5.3%
    Malt: Pilsner
    Hop: Motueka, Vic Secret, Galaxy

Pours a slightly hazy yellow, generous head. Smell is a bit IPA-ish in an ever so slight way, Pilsner malt is definitely present. Taste is...interesting. The crisp Lager snap is toned down a bit but still there. Taste is pretty hoppy but not overly harsh, Pilsner malt is in there also; balanced, but on the hoppier end. Definitely worth trying and a cool iteration but I think I still prefer the regular version. Prost!

The can art is really nice too: https://victorybeer.com/beers/dry-hopped-prima-pils/

DDH Stillings Street! Stand up if you love Nelson. Stand up right now. I'm not even kidding. I love you. Peace to everyone holding it down from California to New York City. I know you're with me. Hunter...
