Thank you @JamFuel for starting the thread today, love your rating notebook and your meal looked most excellent, the beers not too shabby as well.

Pulled one from the cellar, will be posting many cellar beers on future Thursdays and Fridays as I attempt to continue to clear the cellar over the next two years.

2018 Bourbon County Brand Coffee Barleywine Ale



Full cellar review linked here. Long story short, the beer is enjoyable, mostly barleywine at this point, smooth and dull, coffee has left the building.

Been really enjoying catching up on Rick Beato Videos of late.

Always felt this song was executed brilliantly, Red Shea's incredible guitar fills, Rick Haynes' subtle yet impactful bass, Nick DeCaro with a beautiful string arrangement that didn't beat you over the head like a psychopath. OG studio version link.



Loved this tale of a song Rick and band tried to learn on the fly for a gig in the early 1980s, which Rick deems the most complex pop song ever. OG song linked here.

A decent barleywine and occasionally available around here.

 

Wow .. your lunch looks fantastic. Hell, throw a couple of fried eggs on that and it would make a good breakfast.

Stone Liquid Poem.

 

Good morning BAs! A rainy start to the day, so BBA BW Cuvee seems appropriate to get me going - “The Peace We Find In Tombs”, Burial Beer Co., Asheville, NC:



No date. I bought bottle at brewery earlier this summer…probably bottled 2021. Poured at 54°. Overall an excellent beer. Layers bourbon, oak, sweet caramel, candied plums, boozy chocolate bourbon balls, sugary raisins and toffee; some hop bitterness on backend, especially as beer warmed; caramel finish. Smooth dry oaky tongue coating; some warmth from 13% with an alcohol bite on the tip of my tongue. I like!

Visiting my best friend from law school (I was his best man at his wedding) and hanging out at his pool house and guest cottage today. I plan on visiting a brewery or two this afternoon. Have a great day y’all and Cheers from Jupiter FL!
