Not totally sure why no glass at campsite? I always bring at least a snifter and teku while (car) camping, hand wash as needed.

 

Same as glass at the pool. I just try to avoid using glass where a break could hurt someone else (i.e. walking around barefoot, or slicing up a tent / sleeping pad.) I've stepped on glass shards before at the campsite (it somehow snuck between my foot and the footbed of my sandal) - not pleasant. I'm also not necessarily nice to my camp stuff. Between the various camp totes getting shuffled around, and unpacking and repacking the vehicle for different sites, I don't want something fragile in my kit.

If you're responsible, it should probably be fine, but there are a lot of irresponsible people around.

 

Haha, got it. I'm pretty OCD about my gear, for better or worse. I like "responsible" better, though.

Definitely the brewery, which is my “8 minutes away” local, and maybe the beer. This big ol’ WCDIPA that’s a little spicy holds up well in my experience.

 

I couldn't find it in a quick search but, I used to have a stemmed wine glass that the stem detached and stored in the bowl. Got it at REI, but didn't see it on their site just now. Similar to this: https://www.mec.ca/en/product/5040-511/Stemless-Red-Wine-Glass?colour=NOC02

 

Oh man, I really wanted to play this round. But my two kids are doing five sports between them plus both taking guitar. I just don't have the time to invest. Hit me up again in the spring.

I very much appreciate the invitation. I’d love to play again. However, I’ve been inactive on NBW for a very long time. I still have at least three boxes that I have promised to send out as part of previous rounds play. I apologize for how long I’ve taken getting them out.

I have been buying beer like crazy and have oodles on hand, not to mention a case of fried pepperoni flavoured potato chips whose best before date must be fast approaching.

I’m hoping September brings some change to my life, and I start having some free time for things. My kids start kindergarten on Tuesday. My wife is thankfully close to some answers to some debilitating health issues that she has been suffering for the past 9 months as well, and some of her other responsibilities are thinning out as well.

So. I think I should remain on the sidelines. I’ll do my best to get my delinquent boxes out during the shipping window to add some extra surprise to the proceedings.

Hopefully in the spring?

 

Sadly I am going to have pass. I had some personal things go down this summer and have not quite recovered, please keep in mind for the next I would be happy to destroy someone's porch.
