They no longer list it (I was going to try tomorrow) but I guess you never know when they reset the inventory in the AM.

ACE is great but I always felt like it could use a little extra something; I guess all pixel is exactly that. Prob wont be able to grab this hope they bring it back

Agreed, for me it's up there with Broccoli's Axe, the first batch of 4 EZ Payments, and the TDH Citra Week beers. I bought two 4-packs but wish I had gotten more.

Y'all inspired me to swing by for that All Pixel Everything, and it does not disappoint- in my top 5 of new 2021 beers for sure! No idea what the current inventory is but even though it wasn't online they had it when I stopped by Centre Street.

Also enjoyed my tasters of Hand Truck Heroes which folks here had rightly praised, and the Minutiae (Other Half Blend) that was leftover from the Phase Three event. The latter was above average for OH pastry stouts- it opened sweet but the middle had a strong cacoa or whiskey barrel bitterness that helped cut the overall sip.

Once it posted I decided to go and don't regret it. Definitely has a bit of a white wine note but it's not overly melon centric thank God and has some resin and bite. I'm not going to rank it or whatever but it's good. You're not going to die unhappy not having tried it, but if you're on the fence, I'd get some.

Maybe all the shitty galaxy needs is a little lactose to make it taste ok

Space dream was the one I was referring to. Isn’t that the all galaxy one

Gave space daydream a shot again after the good review. It’s definitely better than the last time I had it… good but still suffering from whatever Galaxy plague is going on out there. By the way…Is that really a thing or just speculation? Cause if it’s true, I am so damn excited for it to be over as there’s nothing I love more than a bright grapefruity Galaxy beer.

Also, All Pixel is great. Nelson and citra shine through and it’s glorious.

yes it’s a thing. Lots of bad galaxy in circulation. Brewers have little control over what they get and the producers basically make a blend of lots with some shit galaxy so there’s not really a fire galaxy lot out there. Probably why you don’t see OH touting their “hand selected” galaxy like they do for citra, mosaic... hell even Nelson. There’s publications out there with Shaun Hill speaking on the issue.

Trillium also noted some Galaxy issues over the summer - more from a supply chain than quality perspective, but guess the former could lead to brewers moving down the quality spectrum if an option

This makes sense. The funny thing is Tree House released Queen Machine Galaxy the same week that Trillium made that post. It tasted quite good. I also picked up a 4 pack of Very Green and it tastes just as good as I remember.

Had to drain pour the 8/16 batch of green city Brewed out of Brooklyn today. Something just tasted off. When it was Uber-fresh (had a can on the day of canning) it was ok, but it did have a pronounced raw doughy malt/oat character. That seems to have taken over and turned a bit sour. Just a weird aroma and taste I can’t really describe. For anyone who has this, what are your impressions?

On another note the 8/10 BK batch of ACE is pretty good. It has a very distinct yet hard to place aroma and flavor that I finally settled on being sugarcane. The beer literally tastes like a liquified sugarcane. I’m searching for other tastes I really could only pull out an indescribable “white fruit” character. I wanted to say lychee or Korean melon, but it never quit got there. Stayed in that sugarcane lane. Besides that maybe a tad bit of spicy-tingly green herbs in the background.

Picked up Mylar Bags here in PA a couple of days ago and am pretty disappointed in what used to be one of all-time OH faves. Dominant honeydew, almost no bitterness, zero dankness. I'd read complaints about the melon before and had picked up hints in a couple other recent OH beers but this was really overpowering. Picked up a couple of Finbacks on a quick trip to the City yesterday, hoping they'll be as good as the last few Finbacks I've had.

Yeah, I mostly only buy ACE if it's fresh and if I see someone on this site review it without the word melon. Plenty of options cheaper than the $23 four packs if I want generic. I'm close to NYC now so going to get All Pixel was nice, but it's not the old school dank. Heck it's been years at this point since they reworked AGE to something less dank and bitter. Kind of disappointing but as has been beaten to death here, melon is the biggest flavor profile they seem to trot out now. If someone likes it, I don't fault them. But for me it definitely made everything taste samey and boring.
