Just cracked a Wet Exit at work, enjoying a little break, and its delicious. Out of the can the nose is wonderful and bright like green tea/spruce tea with some tropical fruit.

Taste follows with a nice bright grassy bitterness. Great stuff

Was Double Chuurch! released just recently? I know Wet Exit was t
Kerns newest release. But I’m seeing Double Chuurch! at some locations. I don’t see it on KRBC’s site on sale. @KRBCEric

Having a Wet Exit on my lunch break at the moment. While I'm not the world's biggest IPA fan, this one is tasting mighty good right now. Well done KRB!

No, that would be old. My recollection is that we released that in spring. FYI our date coder has been working for a while now, so new releases should have can dates on the bottom.

Glad you guys are enjoying the wet exit!

I thought so. I haven’t done Total wine in a long time. This is the reason why I like my local independent stores. Enjoying all the fresh wet goodness right now. Wet Exit is no joke. I’m happy with the 3 4pk. Looking forward to November. 13.

I'll be in Bakersfield in a couple weeks. I'm hoping to get over to Kern River Brewing. I see it's still open. Are there any road closures that way? And any advice/recommendations? I won't have much room to bring beer back with me but would like some assorted cans for my parents who went there a couple years ago and loved it. Do they sell singles or mixed packs or distribute anywhere in Bakersfield or the area that does?

Make the 45 minute road trip if your can. Well worth it. There should be no road closure to Kernville. But the the road is narrow and winding the first 7-10 miles. Plan your drive back to Bakersfield accordingly. No single there. 4pks or crowlers/growler only. Food is good. You might want to call Imbibe in Bakersfield to see if they sell singles. They do carry Kern cans. I believe there’s a Trader Joe’s somewhere in Bakersfield that sells Kern stuff. But no single, I think.

Just a note on Trader Joe's, you might want to ask them about singles. Every TJ's I've ever been to will let you pull a single from a 4 pack or 6 pack. So unless the one in Bakersfield has a different policy then you should be ok in that regard.

I didn't get a chance to go to Kern River (decided to spend an extra day in LA), but I did pick up some singles from Imbibe in Bakersfield. My first Kern River beers, and my goodness do they live up to the hype. Exactly what I want in pales & IPA. Got a can of the pumpkin too, and it was quite good. Less a heavily spiced amber like most tend to be and more of a pumpkin pale, lighter on the spice. Anyway, I'm going to have to teach my uncle who lives in Bakersfield to ship beer, because frankly no one here in St. Louis still does clean pales & IPAs consistently like they do.

With Citra at the top, Kern are the kings of West Coast IPA’s in California.

Anyone heading up to Kernville next Saturday for Citra release? We’ll be there Saturday into Sunday. First visit since 2018.

Shaping up to be a beautiful weekend up here. Along with Citra we are tapping some stuff from the Archives including Class X and a couple of other BA beers. Also a DIPA with Sultana, Strata and Mosaic plus a Doppelbock and Italian Pils for the lager fans. I'll be hanging out Friday night and probably Saturday and Sunday afternoon.

I was just about to ask here if there’d be anything extra on tap this coming weekend. Only saw 3 IPA’s on tap on Untappd. And I was thinking Class X, which is usually on tap on Citra weekend. I should be rolling in sometime mid Saturday afternoon in a vintage Citra shirt. Looking forward to this years Citra release as last years was spot on very good. Best one in the last 4 years for sure. And it’s about time I get myself up in the Southern Sierra’s. I just don’t know which Pub I’m gonna hangout in. The original classic pub or the backyard pub?
