This all Galaxy everything batch is pretty pretty good. Hitting the right spots and I'm not getting any overripe melon.

If you picked up triple rare fog from abomination, it's all overripe melon... i can't even drink the whole can..... comparison 2 heavy galaxy beers

agreed. Had the rare fog. The regular version of that had always been so good.

hey @algebeeric_topology you started this thread. Don’t let the whole “I moved to Florida” thing make you a stranger. What’s drinking good down there?

He sent @jrnyc @frozyn and I a pic of something very dire tonight. “Harsher than finback” allegedly. Think he’s struggling down there

I just picked up where Kanger left off and tbh, my style is usually clean break and go! I still love you all though, except for @Tallerboy

With that said, beer down here is funny. I've been to 3 Sons, Invasive Species, Tripping Animals, Wakefield, MIA, Orchestrated Minds, and Veza Sur. Calusa is on my radar next time I'm up by Tampa.

Highlights so far include Dania Pointe Ale by 3 Sons, though I think they're still pimping the June batch on IG? It's not always clear. Dude Where's My Rocket by Tripping Animals was great. People are beating it up on Untappd because they're dumb. All the Tripping Animals stouts are great but the smores one and recent coffee one were both outstanding BA stouts, up there with the absolute best OH stouts.

3 Sons stouts are somehow strikingly sweeter than Other Half. Wakefield stouts aren't nearly as sweet as I was expecting and I'm really enjoying them. Maybe I can talk Johnathan into 8oz cans... It's interesting they have the heft that they do without being sweeter.

Honestly, my go-to is Ghost In the Machine by Parish. I get it on distro and can usually find it within a month of bottling regularly and I find it holds up through almost 2 months. It has a soft mouthfeel with big Citra flavor. My neighborhood, Miramar, is kind of a vacuum for beer. I can't even find Jai Alai within 3 months of canning. Shit, I was checking bottles of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale last time I was at ABC to try and find anything fresh.

One of the worst beers I've had, and it sucks because it would've been so on brand, is "Hops for Teacher" by Wakefield. I found it at a nearby total wine and thought that was a sign of good things to come... I was wrong.

I think Threes ships to Florida and I keep an eye on their online store. If something like All Citra and Lambo Door show up at the same time... boom

Ha, I'm no stranger to letting it sit in the back of the fridge for 3 weeks. Let's check back in then!

Amazing that you have found sweeter stouts than OH and harsher IPAs than Finback !

Double Cream Get the Honey is my first OH hoppy beer in quite awhile and it is an absolute banger. The smell alone is amazing, but it tastes even better. So much dank, citric with some sweetness, but very balanced. So smooth too.

Ddh double mosaic dream — canned 9/07 — still green. Im done with OH, can’t trust that anything you get there is drinkable.

Had some. It's from DC. I'm blaming it, in part, on that. I've learned to just avoid DC stuff. Not saying OH doesn't have other issues of course.

They really put out so much terrible beer now, even the classics. Every once in a while you get something like All Pixel that makes all of the drain pours worth it… kind of

Sad to see this morphing into the Trillium thread, though with their output lately I guess it is what it is. I do like the bit of positivity above. Citra galaxy on this week. If any true locals try some and can comment on whether the galaxy in this batch is worth anything I know I'd appreciate it.

I should be able to report back, I should be stopping by Saturday most likely.

I think, from what I had somewhat recently, the beer coming out now is more a return to form than some of the stuff we got during 2020. That's coming from someone who's been going to OH since year 2. Hand Truck Heroes was really good, the few batches of Mylar I got have been pretty good, the one batch of ACE I grabbed was very good. Those were all within in last 2 months (ish). Also a few of the pours I got when a few of us met up before Rob moved south were really good but I can't recall the names right now.

I don't get to OH as often and I buy much less when I do than I used to, but IMO there is still good beer coming out and I am glad I can try some on tap again now before pulling the trigger!

I was at Domino Park this past Saturday and had a can of All Citra Everything. No issues with that one. A couple people I was with had Juice Capsules and they enjoyed it.

The last batch of DDH Citra Daydream Oat Cream 6% was very green so I let it sit in the fridge for 3 weeks. Didn't improve, has a disgusting taste that reminds me of hot sauce or cumin - awful. The Mylar Bags that came out the same day was top notch, but that's becoming a rarity. I also have Juice Capsules and Enhance your Mind from last week, going to wait at least another week on those, strongly doubt that they are drinkable yet.

Looks like there's another Fiden's collab coming. Hopefully, it finds its way down from FLX.
