I had it on draft last weekend and thought it was solid take on a west coast ipa. I picked up a four pack of My Name is also JC(NE style)but I think I liked the west coast version better.

Thanks - you just made my decision for me. That’s exactly what I was hoping to hear.

How’s their Oktoberfest stack up? Trying to decide if it’s mandatory that I make a trip to canton for some cans before the pats game tomorrow

I tried a pour of it--it's nice, but no better than other Fest Beers you can find at your local package store.

Haven’t seen much buzz here about it, but trillium’s canton location has a ton of outdoor space and it’s really beautiful with the open field and blue hills in the backdrop. The Oktoberfest was just OK but paired with an Adirondack chair and those views it made for a great afternoon yesterday.

I plan to go to the Fenway location this Saturday when visiting Boston. Any to-go bottles or cans I should really check out/bring home while there that they may not have on draft? I like lagers of all sorts, German and Belgian beers, and of course barrel-aged stouts.

Thresh is a tasty pale lager. It's the collab with Fox Farm, a brewery with an excellent lager program.

Trillium drops their most sought after BA stout and not a peep in here? Weird.

The hype is dead… the fermentation change killed it

The hype is definitely gone, but Trillium is still doing just fine. Was in Canton for lunch yesterday and it was very busy inside with a wait to sit outside.

No question about that. I’ve been to the new Trillium Canton twice, and it was absolutely mobbed both times. At this point, I doubt they give a f— about what a few neckbeards think.

Oh for sure, they're crushing it still, just commenting on the fact that the "die hard" craft community has moved on

It lasted over the weekend, that was a bit surprising to me actually.

Trillium did a great job appealing to the after work crowd, casual consumer and person who knows nothing/doesn’t care about craft beer or the BS that comes with it. They chose strategic locations.

Treehouse really hasn’t capitalized on that. For the most part, it’s a trip for everyone to go there.

Trillium will be just fine. I know I still love their beer and visiting anytime I can.

Treehouse locations are just, fng out there.

It’s crazy that if Tree House prioritized accessibility then they could be printing even more money

Swung by Trillium on Sunday, first time this year. Grabbed an assortment of offerings: all of them average. So disappointing. Their campus is impressive, tho.

Been a common detractor but went to the Beer Garden (my work is on top of the place) so:
    • mosaic fort point was good, although not as concentrated hop goodness - more just good use of the hop
    • ba affogato was like coffee Hershey syrup - good but not great - barrel wasn't very well presented
    • pilsner was actually half decent or better - I wouldn't frown at being served it

What's the vibe at Fenway like these days? Having dinner with some friends Saturday night at Sweet Cheeks and was thinking of grabbing a beer there before. Have seen the space but never actually been to the Fenway location so have no idea what to expect in terms of crowds, etc. and didn't want to suggest it if it was going to be jammed.

Trilliums lagers are actually pretty under the radar good. A bit spendy but that is Trillium, right?

I've enjoyed all the lagers I've had so far, only detractor is the price point as you mentioned, but that's to be expected
