Postimage spam links

I see two types of links in Postimages - the first example is a usual link to the picture. The 2nd example is one that includes a 2nd link appended to the first one.

I always break the link where indicated and strip off the section highlighted in yellow where the 2nd "[url" begins. I would think that if they were injecting a spam link it would be via the 2nd url section.

 

I do this as well. Sorry Todd. I thought I'd submitted clean images highlighting only my images to copy/paste. My apologies.

 

Odd. I've used postimages for all of my pics and, to the best of my knowledge, there haven't been any “spam” links added. I just copy the direct link and haven't had any other url added

 

Everyone unite for Direct Uploads like Untappd

 

imgbb? That's what I use and I didn't have any problems posting today.

 

As a user, I'd be willing to pay extra to be able to directly upload photos to the forum without going through a 3rd party application! Cheers.

Make direct upload a Society benefit while others could still use a 3rd party site?

 

Direct uploads would be a game changer, but being able to post with Instagram again would also be nice,

I meant to add that that's an attraction of Untappd. On the reverse, adding a beer's pic on BA on the beer's page is simple Simon. Untappd, it has to be an official pic, added by the brewery.

 

Image hosting isn’t free, money has to come from somewhere. Seems like a nice benefit for society members,

 

Another option is the website, Flickr. It is as easy to use as Postimage and there is no cost. I did notice that the image that you post to BA is smaller than the Postimage photo.

Are users permitted to use PostImages on this site moving forward assuming the string of text containing the "spam" is purged out prior to posting?
