Gonna head to Stone Pasadena soon for pours of 2012 Doube Bastard,2012 Old Guardian and 2012 IRS.

Excellent Altbier from Athens' Akademie. First time I've seen this style from a GA brewery.

 

Hello all - got my 7 mile tempo run in earlier, got the syllabus done-ish for Monday, and now back home chillin' and livin' la vida loca here with an UA N/A Italian "Pilsner" - yeah, wild.

Also, this shot goes out to the people who know in the greater Chicagoland area about a certain place that will no long exist under a certain moniker after this weekend. Great memories... and a hard habit to break anytime I visited Chicago. I'll move on... eventually....

Never seen it before. It's excellent. Though I have long complained about adding shit to stouts, I do love coffee stouts. But I hate how so many have been "imperialized." This one clocks in at 5.6% and it's great. The stout is the star of the show and the coffee just enhances the roastiness of it all. I love it.

 

Stone 25th anniversary TIPA... booze is not really hidden, but it is smashmouth and tasty in my opinion

 

Hoppin’ Frog Oktoberfest, a 7.3% märzen. Eins, zwei, g’suffa!

 

Nice tune. I worked with a girl whose father was a jazz drummer in Cleveland and Detroit. They named her Naima after this song.
