I'm enjoying an ice cold Miller High Life, which is so perfectly tasteless that I could likely drink 20 or so. It's nice for this bright Fall day while watching the leaves change before my eyes.

Oktoberfest is the theme of the day for me, cheers!

 

So I had my physical last Friday and everything looks good except for my damn A1C. My doctor wants me to limit carbs to 150 g a day for the next 3 months and then I have to have my A1C taken again. Since I wanted a beer and will likely want one while grilling some jerked chicken later for dinner, I picked up some of this. Even if i have 3 beers I'm only at 7.5 carbs. It's tasting fine on this humid day.



@Hiwattowner @jzeilinger - I strung one of my Teles today for Nashville tuning. If you notice the low strings are really thin. This is an old trick of recording artists - you overlay a rhythm track with the Nashville tuned guitar track and it adds a ton of jangle and sparkle and really makes the rhythm track pop. It's not really usable in of itself, but in the context of recording it sounds great.

Revolution Brewing Action-Hero



Bottom line, this is a meh NEIPA, not my favorite style, but most Revolution offerings bring more to the table taste wise.

Chimay Blue from 2020.
One of our local supermarkets still has a shelve full of 2020. No problem at all with this fine Trappist. It tends to get better over time. Ideal for cellaring, when you have the accomodation. Shelving or stashing some where in the house or appartement (like here) also works. But your mileage may vary.
