    Haven't started one of these in a while, but up early (or still awake late) and wanted to pop open my planned Oktoberfest before hitting the store for some cleaning and health products.

    Full discussion linked here. Cliff Notes version, this is a nice marzen, unexpectedly salty, nice balance of hops and malt however, keeps this in my wheelhouse. I bit pricey, would pick up alternatives in the future at this price.

    Hope you find one or two Oktoberfest beers before the week is out.

    Perhaps we can try for a musical theme honoring Women Artists today. My first two selections are inspired by Saturday Flashback on this Two for Tuesday, the first featured on the show, the second from the same album that I haven't thought of in a while until this weekend.

    Good day BAs and thanks @ChicagoJ for starting today's thread! Off to another cool start to the day - odd that my jalapeno plants have flowered again and we're off to a third harvest. Today's New Breakfast Beer:

    Decent barleywine that seems a bit hot initially, but allow it to warm to 60 degrees F and it smooths out. Rating 4.21, rDev +2.3%.

    Super dark day here today with heavy rain. Just the way I like it when I have to stay home... Didn't choose to live in Scotland for 4 years for no reason.

    Drinking this in honor of my main man @JamFuel, who calls this one of his all time favorites. I can't believe I hadn't tried it before. It's reasonably fresh (about a month) and bought from a reputable establishment (i.e. I believe it was kept cold at all times). Great beer indeed, but I think that Sculpin does it better for me.

    It’s not just one of my favorites, it is my all-time number one. The beer I’ve spent the most total money on, and the one I’ve had in the most different places. I love it dearly.

    I recall liking it better out of a bomber circa 2013. Still, it’s a goodie. And when we have it, I recommend it at work.

    Today was doctor day. My dermatologist said I had no suspicious lesions (a first), and my cardiologist said I looked great.

    Made a grocery run this am, that also requires a beer stop. Lo and behold I found some Dragons Milk on sale. WTF I thought, it's been years since I've had this. It certainly ain't the best BBA stout on the planet but it's the only BBA Stout I can buy 24/7 365 in these parts, that makes this a GFB!
