What beer are you drinking now? #3266

Thanks for kicking things off this morning @Shanex ! After trying Paulaner's Oktoberfest / Wisen offering, I want to try the rest of their portfolio. It has been best of show into week with a few days remaining in the Oktoberfest tasting thread.

Also, loved your musical selections yesterday, and most days, @beergoot ! Thanks for playing along.

Going with a canned version of a Festbier I tried on tap last Monday, comped by the brewery staff!

Full treatment in the Oktoberfest thread. I found the canned version to be sweeter than the draft version of presumably the same batch. Enjoying paired with Brun-Uusto juustoleipä by Brunkow Cheese, this version with Jalapeno which I am digging. Do you guys buy this, or have differeent versions you enjoy more @GreenBayBA @Danmullens1 ?

Sad day on the music front, Dr. Lonnie Smith, famed player of my beloved Hammond B3, passed away yesterday in Florida at the age of 79. Regularly planned musical selections have been postponed to honor this great musician.

Good day BAs! Thanx @Shanex for starting today's thread. Off to another ambiguous start here in NW PA - may warm up, may rain - flip a coin! Yesterday was a chilly 70+ degree day - spent some time cleaning and rearranging my backyard shed whilst sending the remaining delicious fresh hop/WA brews received from @snaotheus to their purgatory in my recycle bin. Today is open. Today's New Breakfast Beer:



A passable marzen - rating 3.8, rDev -2.6%.

Bitburger Premium Pils

Very balanced medium malt flavor with overriding hop sharpness. Seamless texture bordering on subdued richness. Very clean, crisp, refreshing beer, flawlessly made. Quite popular in the country of origin where competition is stiff for the consumer dollar.
