I just had my last DB Vanilla BT a week ago. That was the last of my cans. Hoping they do something similar again in the future.

this is correct. There will be a really neat base version, and an adjuncted hoarders-only version. It's been pretty fun seeing matty and jeremy work/learn together.

You know those 99 packs of PBR? Do that. But with 10oz BT variants.

I believe that you could do that on your own if you buy one of your own barrels they have on sale right now.

I'm curious as to what others think of Aloha Friday, I myself am underwhelmed by this beer. I'll be the first to say my palate isn't the greatest. Having said that, I can neither detect the coconut on the nose nor in taste and I have to imagine some sort of creaminess from the macadamia nuts. I would love to see this beer move the needle closer to Three's Cococompany, so that it can be a great beer. Perhaps throw in some pineapple like Spicy Island.

To me it doesn't taste much different than standard Black Tuesday.

Yeah more spicy island. When I was at the bt event, I was like eh, don't really like it. But as I had it more and more it became my favorite

I haven't tried this year's batch, but the first batch was nice. Not worth the premium price though. Macadamia more on the nose. Good coconut but definitely not on the level of BA Cocompany.

Anyone know when the current allocations go away? I still haven't tried my one bottle of Big Blue Stacks and would like to do it this weekend, but I could force myself to open it tonight if it goes away tomorrow.

In theory they go away tomorrow... But I feel like most/all recent months they've stayed up until the day before new allocations post. Also, you'll see it for sale again this year guaranteed. Christmas sale if not sooner.

Had another 2021 bottle last night. It’s fine, but underwhelming as you said. Subtle coconut. The macadamia is nice, but def wish it had more toasted coconut going on. Joy Ride is much tastier in that regard. Looking forward to trying BA Cocompany (waiting on trustee)

Enjoying this Cognac BT very much and really happy they're doing another BT barrel box next year! I wonder if it's four new treatments or if we'll see a return of ones they've done before...

Ones they've done last few years I can think of are Sherry, Cognac, Scotch, Madeira, Rum, Maple, Port, and Red Wine. And the reserve series has/will see rye, grape brandy, and apple brandy.

Tequila is one notable omission... As is gin... They did a white sherry before so maybe a Pedro?

Gin sounds like it would be ROUGH. But, I'm also the kind of person that highly dislikes American barleywines and BA stouts with a strong hop presence.

For sure... I'm not sure gin would be a good idea, but then again I never would have thought pineapple would work in BT.

Although I would love to see some gin barrel releases on the Bruery side...I know Terreux has done some but I can't recall any on the clean side. A Belgian tripel or golden could be nice. Firestone's Gin Rickey is fantastic, and Sierra did a gin tripel a couple years ago that was great. Gin might also be interesting on Bruery's wheatwine, and maybe the new braggot base too.
