To my sender...I like imperial stouts, porters and barleywine, and barrel aged is always awesome. But I also really like my west coast IPAs, and all the better if they are DIPA or TIPA. In general, higher ABV is a good thing. I like hoppy pale ales too, saisons and belgian style beers.

I DON'T really care for sours, generally. Funk is ok, just not into anything that makes you pucker. Also not usually into the lagers or pilsners, though if you think one is a must try then I'm game.

    To my sender:
I love stouts, belgian styles, german styles, IPA's (good and hoppy, or with some malt profile), Barrel aged or not, all good. I also like well crafted lagers, but diversity is key and I like to drink anything new.

There are a few styles I do not like:
    -Barelywine
    -NEIPA
    -Sours

That said, If you have a NEIPA you think is world class, I am always down to try something new.

    To my Receiver:
I have never been to your province, but have worked a stones throw from it for many years.

    Bonjour,

To the person that got me, you will notice that my beer count on Untappd is quite high. As a teacher, I travel a lot for craft beer during my holidays. My Untappd username is Sebado (Sébastien Bertrand). I enjoy trying new beers...I'm a proud ticker!
    https://untappd.com/user/Sebado

LIKES: Stouts, IPAs, Pumpkin Beers, Smoked Beers, Barleywines, Dubbels, Tripels, Quads, Barrel-aged beers especially in bourbon! Wild funky beers, lambics, Flanders Reds are good too.

***Since it is pumpkin season, I would love to receive pumpkin beers from your region!

I also like stickers from microbreweries!

DISLIKES: Sours tend to be painful to drink. I can't do hot pepper beers (jalapenos, chilies).

For the person that I'll be sending beers to, your city/town shares a name with a neighbourhood in my city, our national capital.

    Merci!

    To my sender(s)

I like most any well made beer. I am always on the look out for big barrel aged stouts and barleywine (and unbarreled, or adjunct laden). I love well made lager (especially malt driven fall lager like marzen, munich dunkel, etc). I love stout, mild and bitter (british beer is my jam). I love the whole rainbow of IPA (west coast, NEIPA, DIPA, TIPA, milkshake (as long as its well made, see willibald brewing). I love well made pumpkin beer, see flying monkey's imperial pumpkin thingerwhatzer). Saison/mixed ferm saison are great just not too sour please.

I like sour beer, but I need to emphasize balance is important. I don't love fighting with a beer to enjoy it. I don't want it so sour it hurts.

I don't like Irish red ale. Its gross.

Honestly if you send me beer you would drink, I will probably love it. I am not a ticker, I will gladly drink a beer I have enjoyed before.

    To my targets

You are both west of me. I have spent time in both of your cities.

I guess I should also add. Tis the season, a good pumpkin beer is always appriciated. Double points if you have a great pumpkin stout!

    To my sender-
I'm into Saisons - both mixed ferment and clean, Lagers - leaning towards more classic Czech and German inspired stuff, BA Stouts and Barleywines, well done wood aged Sours, NEIPA (freshness is really key on this one).

Not a fan of enamel stripping acidity, lactose, smoothy/slushie sours, or pumpkin in beer.

To my receiver- I think you are about as far as could be possible for me to send, considering the provinces with participants.

    To my cher sender,

I'm really a big fan of Barrel Aged beers. My first choise is Stout, then Barleywine and any other styles. I don't drink much and having the idea I can store multiple bottles for a longer time seduced me long time ago.

I really doesn't like anything with hops. I've tried a lot of time to be in love and I don't fit with this.

If you want to see what kind of beer I drink, you can check my Untappd profile at https://untappd.com/user/remsad

Hello sender! Sorry for being late to the party.
I like good beer and I like to try new things. That being said, I still haven't had a barleywine or black IPA that I have really enjoyed.
I like sours, lagers, stouts (the more viscous the better) IPAs, saisons, pretty much everything.
If you like it then I will most likely enjoy it.

    Cheers!

In for the first time in a while.

I'm a general beer liker (i.e. ticker), with my "hads" on untappd: https://untappd.com/user/CaptainMurphy

Anything new to me will be appreciated, but having another round of something tasty is fine too! I like trying different styles and odd brews, and always enjoy spicier chili beers and really smokey rauchbiers.

For my target, I already have some brews picked up over the last couple of weeks, but will have to do some research to see if they're appropriate.

    Hello all,

My favourite beers are the big flavour IPAs and stouts but I am really game for anything well made.
    Untappd is https://untappd.com/user/VanAuz
I love trying new beers and breweries and haven't had that much stuff out of BC.

To my target; I am definitely going to load up on the fresh beers. Fresh hop season is beginning and I am sure that if I threw in a few of those, they would be appreciated.

    *** Hey all. ***

I threw this out their if anyone wants to do a bonus, "absolutely the BEST of the WORST" add on of one beer to the box. Then after drinking it post a very honest review. Just add this beer with a blank paper and elastic around it and write BEST OF THE WORST on the paper. I thought this would be fun and came across something I must share with the world!

Some great posts above, going to start posting some hints for my targets later tonight.

    Cheers everyone.

PS: I am ELECTROS on untappd. Both Beer Advocate and untappd are current.

Hint # 2)a) Founded in 1907, I've never even heard of this town.

Hint # 2)b) You've got a pretty famous last name.. the most popular professional in your familial pool seems to be at either end; author or footballer. Are you also perhaps one?

I love big malty brews (Brown Ale, Scotch Ales, Stouts), Dessert Stouts, Imperial Stouts and Pale Ales for sure! I love me the higher alc/vol brews.....big beefy beer. Not a fan of Sours (Lambic for example), big hoppy IPAs and thats about it. Milkshake IPAs are welcome, APAs, EPAs, Pumpkin, Winter Warmers, and even Summer Seasonals are brews I enjoy too!

Looking forward to my package and some cool brews from whichever Province it originates from!

To my sender: I'm a ticker, same user name on a site now owned by the world's largest brewing company.

But as a ticker, I appreciate getting all the good things from your part of the world. So I'm not super choosy on styles other than not big on boring beer. It's more whether it's new, good and even from a new brewery I've never heard of (which is getting easier to do these days!)

I prefer lower ABV (4-6%) stuff in general, but anything you think tastes good is fine. I also like to open the occasional higher ABV BA stout too.

To my senders, thank you in advance for anything you send, and I sincerely mean that. To help with the beer selection...

    I do not like:
    • hazy ales/IPAs (bitter is better )
    • milkshake anything
    • pastry stouts
    • slushies

    I quite like:
    • lagers (anything in the lager family, really - Czech and German styles, especially)
    • Scotch ale, wee heavies, barleywine
    • imperial stouts
    • sours and wild ales
    • saison/farmhouse ales
    • BA stuff

My Untappd profile is here but please do not worry if I've had a beer before - would rather have something I like instead of a "tick" that gets me another badge.

    Thanks!!!
