That makes sense. I didn't think about how long fresh hops last. I was just curious after seeing some breweries post about it. Monkish is coming out with one soon

What's up NYC- Please forgive this thread bombing- I am coming down to NYC for the first time in a few years. It seems OH has a ton of beers available at the brewery. I am curious to know if they distribute to many liquor stores in Manhattan now? I will be staying in the Lower East Side. I may be able to may a trip to the brewery, but the schedule may be tight with a wedding. Please let me know if there are any good beer store options in the LES that may have OH beers. Also curious to know what you think is especially good right now. For reference- my favorite OH beer is DDH All Citra Everything. Thanks!

 

Burrito Violation, hah! This sounds like it's named after Shelby Houlihan for her famous burrito excuse for a doping violation that got her banned for four years. I know running isn't cool enough in the beer community for this to be true though...

 

Top Hops, Good Beer, and Westside Market on 3rd Ave and 12th St should all be carrying Other Half. Check out the Grand Delancey if you have the time. It's fairly new and it has 50 taps and a good bottle and can list. You should also be able to find Other Half beers there. Cheers, and welcome back!

Seems like a lot of mixed reviews on here but now that OH is offering a mix your own case option as well as free shipping to NH I placed an order. To me, the Citra and Galaxy, District Drip and Strata Chroma Daydream has all been great.

 

Did a side by side of 3 of the 4 Extra Extra Shippers Shippers since they have them on tap right now. Idk how the Side Project one made it past quality, it has that dirt/vegetal Galaxy flavor that makes it completely undrinkable.

Other Half’s was the best of the three IMO, not surprised cause the cans I got at the release were some of the best OH IPAs I’ve had in a while.

 

Hoping they still have them and the Veil stouts on tap tomorrow. Also, hoping for Choppin Broccoli to finally show up.

Same thing. I also book my hotel which is about 20 minute walk to the venue. Looking forward to it.

 

Domino Park appears to have a good amount of the Fidens collab available. No purchase limit when I stopped by around noon. Also picked up a 4-pack of More lACEd in Space, excited to try that one out.

 

+1 OH's Extra Shippers, lovely dank profile, and I can't even tell there's Nelson in it (for those like myself that don't normally enjoy its flavor). Had Veil adjunct version Bubble Wrap, nice chocolatey, nutty flavor, typical saccharine sweetness tho. Shrug.

 

fidens collab popped up at centre last night, all sold out as of today, unfortunately

 

I found that out this afternoon. Had to go over to DP after striking out at Centre. I hope it's worth the effort lol

 

Choppin' Broccoli living up to expectations?

Briefly stopped at DP yesterday afternoon - solid crowd/energy, loud but not packed

 

Choppin Broccoli is phenomenal, as expected. I actually prefer it to the last Fidens collab, but I'm biased because I love Nelson. Really great expression of NZ hop character from start to finish.

More lACEd in Space is quite good, too. Pours super dense and milky, looks like a Fidens or Root & Branch beer if I'm being quite honest. Exceptional dank aroma--one of the best-smelling OH beers in recent memory. Taste has a little bit of that dirt-like/subpar Galaxy thing going on, but that might just be due to freshness.
