    Solid effort yesterday, with NFL on tap today I expect another solid offering. A second new to me Three Floyds, this one a Wet/Fresh Hop beer they release annually.

    Full review in New Beer Sunday #867, where each and everyone of you are welcome. To liberally quote Chris Farley, "Remember that time we cracked open a fresh Three Floyds Broo Doo. That was awesome!"

    Speaking of awesome, caught the second half of WXRT's 1981 Flashback yesterday. They sometimes are liberal with the year, but the first two "new to me songs" were new in 1980.

    Baptist Helles from Brauerei Goller

    Light yellow gold color with small white cap and good lacing.

    Mild aroma of sweet, biscuity malt and floral hops.

    Pleasant taste of simple malt with just the right amount of hop seasoning. Simple malt flavors with a low key approach, which is to say good flavors but they don't jump out of the glass. I should also point out the whole comes across as very dry with an absence of sweetness. Finish is clean and aftertaste is dry.

    Medium, creamy texture with balancing carbonation.

    A very likable food friendly beer in the Franconian style.

    Good BBA maple/coffee impy stout - the maple starts when you pop the top and lasts through the whole 473 mL, whith (yes, I'm slurring my words already) the bourbon showing up on the exhale to wrap it all up. Rating 4.32, rDev 0%.

    I will soon head to Lambeau Field. There will be thousands of yinz Pittsburgh Steelers fans. It will be cloudy, with some rain, and should get up to 72 degrees. Today will be an amazing experience!

    Right, so I am drinking Chimay Tripel which is if not underrated at least sometimes an overlooked tripel. My preferred from the different Chimays available. The others are all very good, especially Grande Reserve but a bit heavy on one’s stomach.

    Maybe I’m just a candy-ass. Have a great Sunday all!

    Rainy start to the day - my usual early Emma pup walk was disrupted by the rains....hopefully can get out later - doing some other chores and cleaning this morning.....

    Yuengling Hershey's Chocolate Porter

    Growing up in SEPA, Yuengling was/still is a staple. Drank so much Lager, Black & Tan, and Lord Chesterfield backbin the day it's ridiculous. Still can't beat an ice cold Lager.

    GM! My last bottle of this and it is quite, quite good. Maple has faded into a more caramel sweetness. Definitely don’t want to age this one for too long if you want a good representation of what it was fresh. Still love it though!
