    Aged in Bourbon, Rye, and wheated whiskey barrels. Too dry from the rye and barrels for me; very whiskey forward. I’ve liked prior versions better…

    ...Mrs. BeerGoot, Rocket the Wonder Dog, and I took a nice car trip this morning to check out some high country colors...we drove down to Colorado City and Rye, past Bishop's Castle, through Florence and back to Colorado Springs...it was a very nice morning...

    Went to a recently opened brewery (Swells’a) in OBX, NC. The “Schooner is a Sailboat” DIPA was the best so I bought a crowler.

    Then went to a local restaurant which Guy Feiri once did a segment on his show Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. We had Mahi-mahi tacos and a phenomenal bacon cheeseburgers with habanero honey barbecue sauce. Yes, and some wine.

    30-pack of the month: Something new and exciting, Pabst Blue Ribbon 'Extra.' Almost reminds me of a malt liquor, sweeter with a slightly fuller body. I don't hate it. Cheers!

    The Oktoberfest tasting continues. This is new to me, canned in CT on September 28th. Really nice malt flavor. The tango hops are interesting. Definitely not traditional, but it's a pretty nice beer overall.

    I got *fresh* "Big Swell" from Honolulu. Canned 08/26/21. I had some 04/21. Definitely tastes different. Seems lighter and much less malty. I really like Big Swell. Cheers/Aloha!!!

    Kind of a dreary, cool October day in N. GA. We're normally dry as a bone in October. Bought these Highland Black Mocha Stouts as a sub for my normal Pretoria Fields Walkers Station Stouts to use in my chili recipe later in the week. Lots of chocolate malt in this, might make an ever better chili. Can't wait to find out! Cheers!
