UPS Is Straight Up Murdering Beer Out There

I've never, in my well over 200 shipped trades, seen or heard anything like this.

In fact, I've even seen both FedEx and USPS take broken or spilled beer out of shipments, package any surviving beer back up, and deliver it to me in a fresh garbage bag, like it wasn't a bother at all.

But UPS has gone above and beyond to be absolute pieces of shit.

I've always be averse to UPS--they've done a few questionable things here and there: some weirdly missing packages or delivery failures without any of the kinds of explanations you get from other logistics companies; knocking and waiting for an answer, up to and including refusal of delivery, even when a signature is not requested and it's not labeled as 21+; and to unabashedly get petty, I've never really liked the way they drive relative to the other box trucks. lol...

But this...this is so extra. This is something else entirely. And frankly, it should be illegal. Straight up looting and destroying customers' packages, with no note whatsoever, whether on the shipment's tracking, or on or in the box itself. Or even simply returning the damn box to the sender and giving them a warning. And before anyone quotes any laws, regulations or company policies to me, I know. I get it. But to hell with that. I'm no spring chicken. Like I said, I've been around the block and seen damn near everything in this game, shipping to and receiving from all over the world. This wasn't some huge whale of a package. There wasn't anything irreplaceable, whether we're talking secondary value, retail, rarity or otherwise. It's the principle of the thing to me. And to get ahead of any misunderstanding, I hold absolutely nothing against my trade partner.

What's crazy is how fast they actually shipped this puppy. I can't believe they had time to tear this box open, pop every single bottle and can, dump them, and repackage it all while still delivering right on its originally scheduled date. It was shipped Monday 10/4, and arrived 10/6, the same as my outgoing package via FedEx. Someone's clearly done this before. And just for full transparency, on 10/6, this shipment was scanned as received at 2:31PM EST, with the above pics being taken at 2:46PM EST, since I work from home and it took a few minutes to yank this sticky mess out of the styrofoam.

Like, they actually had to have a bottle opener at the ready, and some designated area of a shipping facility to be able to open and dump all this shit. I hope whatever location did this has a stinky ass shitshow on their hands, leaving them with a heap of flies to deal with forever and ever, amen.

We're still in a pandemic, yet they are content to go through these kinds of measures for paying customers using their service to ship beer. BEER?! This is the kind of puritan ass shit that sometimes makes me hate our society.

Fuck Mr. Brown.

 

And, by the way, do they have a fucking x-ray or some shit?
