I like the shape they picked for the DW brandy snifter. That’ll definitely be a good barrel aged beer glass to drink from.

I thought I knew but I can’t find it now- where are we at with proxies for this release?

So the chip resistant rim isn’t doing it for you?

Didn't know that was the case, but also didn't know that was a thing, nor would that be a consideration, though, since I have never had a glass chip (ever). Plates? Yep. Bowls? Yep. Glasses? Never.

Cherish being able to say this. The sad beer glass goodbyes come when you least expect them and dampen the whole evening.

I don't let my wife handle my 'special' glasses.

Joking aside, totally. I worry about it. I really cherish my glasses. I hand-wash everything, and try to be very careful, but shit happens. My daughter is getting awfully tall at 20mo, but I haven't yet drank around her, so haven't had to be concerned about my glasses breaking. Swear she can reach everything.

The sad story of my last Deep Wood glass (the rounded teardrop "Lawrence" tumbler) also begins and ends with the word "Wife." Is it a conspiracy to lessen cabinet clutter and encourage drinking glass conformity? My daughter is 22 months and I now keep all the glassware in a locked Closet of Sin that never opens until she's knocked out for the night. Does she climb up on chairs yet because mine's like a goddamn acrobat.

My daughter will climb on anything and everything, so we've tried to structure our home so that there is less to climb on. As much as we would like to have an open floor plan, not only do we not have that, but we also have a Quad, so everything is very segmented and there are gates. This helps, and makes it much easier to keep the cabinet of sin away.

I love my wife dearly, but I wouldn't exactly describe her as careful/delicate. This extends not just from dish handling to even the way she'll scrub something off the skin or brush your hair. I'm quite the opposite. I may have butter fingers, and occasionally drop a dish (think I have broken total of 2-4 saucers/bowls ever). My wife, on the other hand - shit will just slide out of her hands, or with wine glasses she'll just put too much pressure while cleaning. Shit falls on the ground and in the sink. It's like she is only clumsy when it comes to dishes, particularly glasses. 3 weeks ago she broke my favorite plate.

She does not touch my glasses.

Sounds like you are drinking too conservatively. You may want to try a more aggressive sip to really appreciate all the glass and beer have to offer. You are essentially driving a Ferrari, but keeping it under 10 miles per hour.

Don't mean to break up the glassware discussion, but it's amazing to me that 4 packs of Deth's Tar are still $25 from Rev. So much good for (relatively) so little. That's all.

Agreed. If gas goes up anymore I’m going to convert my car to run on Deth Tar.
