That stadium has ventilation to cope with 10,000 people so expect some shockers in the judging categories as beer aroma can now be taken into account.

I just saw that IMBIBE memberships needed to be purchased by 9/26 to purchase the early entry FOBAB tix. Bummer, I totally missed it.

Tix for Saturday's session purchased. No truffles required.

Suggestions for a greasy, quick mid-fest meal near the site would be welcome--Jim's Original is now too far.

Carm’s Beef or Fontano’s Subs are both good choices

Saturday ticket acquired! This will be my first fest since 2019 DLD, so I'm really stoked. My buddy is going to be a judge, so it'll be nice to hang out with him afterwards as well.

Came here to see thoughts on it, and surprised to see, no conversation about the actual brewery list.

Only intel I have is that Listermann is not participating this year.

EDIT: lol i'm an idiot, apparently the brewery list is up at fobab.com

What conversation do you want to have? Looks about the same as previous years.

Oh maybe ya'll didn't know it was up.

I personally didn't want to insert myself into a convo, but instead just wanted to see what conversation there might have been about it.

I've never been, and am not familiar with the breweries that went previously, and which breweries or beers BAs most look forward to.

FoBAB's not really about who's there or what you're looking forward to especially since its a competition and they don't announce the beers ahead of time. FoBAB is just an incredibly good time with some of the best barrel aged beers in the world. I like going and hanging out with my friends and seeing people who I only really see at FoBAB from around the country. The event itself and the atmosphere almost makes the beer secondary. I just like being at FoBAB.

    Fully agree.

I get the natural urge to plan out what hype-whales you want to tick before they kick but I strongly recommend enjoying this particular fest by hanging with friends in a relaxed fashion. Let go the FOMO and trust that there will be enough great beers to outweigh possibly missing out on whales.

The 2 previous posts are spot-on. FOBAB is a festival to discover or stumble upon whales rather than go to intentionally tick them. Although there are bound to be established beers worth trying too.

Well this feels absolutely fucking crazy right now but I might be in...

If changing our flights works out, this might be the cherry on top to the end of our week in New Orleans. I have to pick up my DL Sunday either way.

    Shit.

Does anyone know if the Fobab six packs cover all entered beers or just some?

I believe each beer entered has to have 12 - 12oz bottles for the FOBAB to go packs.
