CANtemplating a Chicagoland Visit

As long as my P.O. signs off on it & I give fair warning as required by CPD, following my last visit, I am giving great weight and CANsideration to CANming out to CHI in late-Spring/early-Summer 2022. I haven't been out in a while due to poor employment & the COVID outbreak, but I am now champing at the bit!

The impetus? I scored a used copy of the "Beermiscuous Field Guide 2017/2018" on Thrift Books & it has whetted my appetite in all new & different ways!

I lost track of Brant Dubovick, following LNCBC & Church Brew Works, but it seems as though he has landed at Corridor Brewery & Provisions! 8=O

CANother beer & drinking buddy (& an avid CHISOX fan), Eric F, has already signed onto any/all plans that I make.

I'd love for @TMoney2591 to take me around to the Kvass stores while in town.

I'd like to meet @MasterSki IRL, if we haven't already.

Deb Turner (yes, Wil's wife) & I have long been talking about an impromptu public trans fashion show (we display as many tattoos as legally allowable).

Other ideas include a walk along the shoreline around the Gold Coast (f'in' beautiful that time of year); a visit to The Field Museum; a riverboat tour (do they have beer aboard?); CHI-style dogs; Malort (ha!); Delilah's.

CHI was the seCANd stop on the inaugural Woody Him Forward (WHF) in 2006 & I spent over a week out your way. Every day saw me on a different METRA line, out & back, hitting mainly brewpubs. I'm kinda satiated in that regard, but you might be able to CANvince me otherwise.

For insCANce, a day trip on AMTRAK to MKE to visit my buddy, Mike Romans, at his Romans' Pub. We might need to make prior arrangements as he is not big on hosting large parties.

Who knows if this will actually come off. After all, isn't the way to make God laugh is to begin making plans? No matter. I just know that I want to return & that I think of yinz both often & fondly.
