I opened a 2010 BT a few months back. It was delicious and held up great with no signs of being past prime yet. That said, i don't know that I have noticed a tremendous change in profile from BT bottles over the years based on cellaring (relative to some other BA stouts where I feel there is a more clear evolution over several years).

I will continue to cellar occasional BT bottles just for the fun of opening them up in 5-10 years, but I would not personally spring for the extra $$ on cellar sale bottles, unless it was to try some older vintages I never had before.

How’s the 2018 Red Wine BT? The 375 format is calling to me but if it went sour then I’m out.

I had one of the 375's last month. It's great.

Cracked a 10,11,12 and a 15 Reserve over the summer and everything has aged great.

Always fun to see the BT variants come out of the cellar in October. Unfortunately the one bottle I was ready to pounce on was Maple BT and it didn’t pop up. Probably slept on replenishing my supply for too long!

Finally opened Chew On This. Definitely sour. I know there was some discussion earlier. Is the Bruery acknowledging this and replacing bottles or refunding?

I was hoping this too, though I'm pretty sure they confirmed in this forum that it totally sold out shortly after release :slight_frown:

Yeah I have been waiting for maple and it hasn't shown up since the first release/increase in limits.

Same, even though they did say it sold out right away. But we’ve heard that before only to see them show up a year later.

Well it sounds like there were several of us holding out the same hope. I guess they can expect to sell a few bottles if they re-brew the Maple BT.

I sent an email about it but did not receive a response back. As a member for years I thought I would get contacted at least

Has anyone heard anything about the ticket price disparity credit for 2020 anniversary party ticket holders?

Finally got my bottles of Big Blue. I liked it. But, it's just a little too over the top. Since I wasn't sharing it, I split it up over, what ended up being three nights. The first night I got a lot of blueberry. But, it was also quite peppery which threw off the overall experience. What was interesting, over the subsequent two nights, was the blueberry became less prominent and the maple came more and more forward. I enjoyed it more on the last night.

I also dug out a bottle of Blueberry Pancake. Overall, that's just a more balanced beer. Sweet blueberry with a touch of maple and that classic BT back note.

Hey everyone just wanted to address Chew on This — we recently had some unexpected issues that are currently being tested to provide you with the best tasting beer as originally planned. We have caught issues in the past but have been able to correct prior to release. While we did notice some quality issues with Chew on This early on those were caught and addressed. If you have a beer that has soured or just doesn’t seem right, please reach out to us at [email protected] so we can investigate. We’ll gladly offer a replacement at full value.

I was at the Fulfillment Center this weekend for a pickup and asked about the credit. Just took a few minutes to straighten it out. They emailed me a credit that I can use in a future order. All is good.

I would encourage people to speak to someone at The Bruery during your next pickup. Or if you are out of town, email them.

As always, the fulfillment center did a great job. One of the reasons I renew year after year.
