Anaheim (2021)

I recommend checking out Red Beards Taproom ... not a brewery but has a very impressive tap list ... it's near Noble / Anaheim Stadium

 

I second this! Owner is super chill and they have Great Notion on tap as well as other breweries.

I was in Anaheim a two weeks ago. I had some Breury BBA cans delivered to my hotel. I also stopped by Radiant and I'm so glad I did. Simply exceptional IPAs and pales. They are dialed in. I purchased a dozen cans from them as well. 20 cans of beer in my check-in bag. I wish I had purchased more beer and left some of my clothes behind. Everything I got from the Breury and Radiant are outstanding.

btw, if you meet a young man named Sam at Radiant, take a few minutes to talk beer with him. He's very enthusiatic about his job.

Man, can hardly wait for Monkish to open in DTA so I can run an IPA trifecta of Green Cheek/Radiant/Monkish.

Then turn around and do it again.

 

How doable is this? Green Cheek is in Orange, and how far will Monkish be from Radiant?

 

Monkish Anaheim to Green Cheek will be about 4-5 miles I believe. Monkish Anaheim to Radiant is only around 2 miles, if that.

 

For those still interested in MT LeisureWorld. It’s only 0.2 miles to MonkishA. And you got Unsung right in between the both of them. You can swim a couple of laps at MT before your stroll over to MonksA.

 

Anaheim really has the basics well covered.

You can do a superb stout lap with Bottle Logic and Modern Times and throw in a little mead action with Honeypot. This meadery is really coming into its own - I was there last week and the creativity within the range of their offerings - ciders, barrel aged meads, etc. - astounds.

With the upcoming GC/Monkish/Radiant triangle putting three world-class IPA breweries in such close proximity, it almost makes an OC beer festival irrelevant.

And with MonksA (thanks Gunz) opening soon, I'm really looking forward to leaning back in that tasting room and enjoying what kind of Belgians they come up with - something I couldn't do in Torrance.
