Good day BAs! Yesterday started off dark and starry - most stars I've seen since last winter. Today, just dark and the normal no star sky. Got to take Mrs. Lizard to the Dr. this morning - PM. Getting fortified to sit in the car and sleep/read - today's New Breakfast Beer from NBS BIF #14 and @Roy_Hobbs:

Two weeks from today I may be sitting at my brother's dining room table packing a retaliation box or two full of TX beers as well as another box for my target, but for now I'm sucking down this excellent NEIPA - thanks Ross!

Taste on entry is far, far less tart and sharp as the scent indicated. Actually it's a very rounded and sophisticated presentation redolent of of ripe fruit that strikes me as more pear than banana but going in that general direction. Hoppiness is restrained and the fruit is backed by some spicy stuff such as clove. There's no hint of alcohol that I can detect.

Pulled out a beer to enjoy while enjoying the weekend threads, have a few replies.

@mschrei - My middle brother graduated a year later. Regret not seeing the Pogues back in the day.

@ZebulonXZogg - Nice to see Haymarket return with Chicago Tavern Beer, hoping it remains a staple in their lineup.

@DoctorZombies - Glad to hear of your post-surgery recovery, great that you are enjoying one of your favorite beers. Hope you are able to return here for some beers during a future Summer!

Going to continue to take advantage of the final two 70 + degree weather days of 2021 here, pulling out Summer type beers to enjoy.

I've not been too impressed with the beers Stone has been producing the past few years.
This is the exception to that. This beer is damn amazing. We sold the last two 6 packs we had of it yesterday. This is a solid IPA.

This beer pours a beautiful semi-clear amber color. The head is 1 finger, and slightly off white. Retention is good for the ABV. The head really clings and sticks to the glass as it dissipates.
The nose is straight up pine from the hops. This lets you know that you're in for a very old school, bitter, pine IPA.
Taste: The nose clued me in, and the flavor confirmed it - a total, sticky, pine bomb. The hops start off soft, it's a bread, buttery biscuit, malty flavor up front. This doesn't last long at all, because it then it goes full on pine on the backside. There is also a good bitterness to this beer.
This is one sticky feeling beer, very resin feeling. The hops cling and who knows when they let go, because I don't know yet.
This is a very sold IPA and more of an old school one, and I like it a lot.

Most of the time, when I walk my dogs, they jump and growl, and just in general act like assholes. Today I found the solution: walk them separately. One dog at a time, instead of three, and they are perfectly behaved. The downside is the walk takes three time as long. On the upside I get three times the exercise.
Now I'm drinking this nice beer from Pikes Peak Brewing.

@SouthernSips thought I needed beer a bit back. I really didn't, but I'm so happy I got a chance to try this beer. Thank you.

This beer pours a lemon color, and very murky/hazy. The head is white and 1 finger. Retention is good.
    The nose is very tropical/citrus.
The flavor is full on tropical. I get pineapple, mango, grapefruit and guava - and I'm sure I'm not getting it all.
The body is pretty good. The hops aren't too sticky, but they cling a bit.
    Not bad at all. Delicious.
